Protein-115g
Carbs-20-40g of non starchy green veggies
Fats-20-30g

so max of 890 or so cals.

And really that is not the diet.

As 777 said, this is a protein sparing FAST. You are fasting but with only protein. So your protein grams is your calories for the day. However, it's unreasonable to achieve 100% protein without trace amounts of other macros.

You should not get direct carbs or fat but only trace. Your veggies will have some and your meat will have some. Stick to having 80% protein.

Example 200g of protein is around 800 calories. 80% of that is 160g. 160g of protein is 640 calories. That means you have 160 calories of incidental trace carbs and fats to play with.

yep pretty much with the exception of taking 10g of fish oil pills. other than that everything is trace.

Lyle says you can have unlimited amounts of green veggies to an extent. If you can eat 40g of net carbs from green veggies then god damn you must be a hungry SOB.

LIKE HU said if you shoot for 80% protein and hit your protein mark daily and take the fish oil, you are good.

I can get krill oil and a good multivitamin

But damn I gotta tell my Mexican mom in law to not cook me tortillas during the weekend. Don't think she'll like that lol

Ok educate me right quick,

Wouldn't you need a higher % of calories from fat? The diets I've seen in the past such as the metabolic diet by dr. Pasquale indicated fats were necessary

I know Lyle knows his shite since he was doing this stuff at least since 1996

I only know enough to be dangerous here, but this isn't a long term diet...it's a crash diet. By providing dietary protein to prevent muscle loss and restricting he other macros to trace amounts, you force your body to use body fat for fuel.

Healthy fats are an essential part of a long term healthy diet.

Like zone said this is simply a way to crash diet without losing muscle. Not a long term solution.

I'm 3 weeks into a diet (not this one, but similar to this) and I have dropped from 325 to 302 tonight when I weighed myself at the gym. Mainly just eating green vegetables and protein, I will also drink a protein shake as a meal replacement. I don't have the same strength that I did, but my clothes finally fit better, and some of my pants are now falling off. I'm not gonna lie, the first two weeks sucked. Now I can walk right past the stuff I used to eat and not even want it. I'm hoping to get back to 260. If I hadn't seen this thread, I would have never went on a diet. Thank you guys for all the success stories. They really motivated me to do something.

Great job man, but don't stop at 260, keep going. Doesn't need to be nearly as hardcore but should still keep trying.

Joining up on Monday. Going to Puerto Rico for Labor Day weekend. Trying to get a lil shred going.

Just loaded up on chicken, egg whites, and green beans.

Will be using pre-workout to help me power through workouts. So I'm not going to deviate from my current lifting routine.

I haven't used any pre-workout in a few years but might have to get some for the short term.

What is a good one these days?

Back on this wagon. Meal prep for the week complete, and day one almost in the books.

Try and shave a few more %points off the bf.

Started last Monday at 188, down to 181.8 this morning after a not so good weekend. Nothing too bad, just not ideal. Back to chicken and salad with small amount of balsamic vinegar.

I need something clarified, if we're to be taking 10 grams of fish oil, I need to take 10 1000mg capsules daily? Is this right?
