Then again, I think I fully understand what the Birthday Cake Whey Protein by performix was developed for....

I seriously want to go buy a tub, bring it back to the office, and share it with everyone to celebrate my birthday...

Started this diet at 201 lbs last Friday... Got curious about my weight this morning, and weighed myself while still in uniform (USAF camos).

I was at 201 today with uniform on, so whatever the weight of my boots and pants/jacket is about how much I have lost. Probably somewhere between 4-7 lbs. because of combat boots (not steel-toed) and heavy material the is used for the top/bottoms.

Oh yeah man, clothes can add some weight sometimes especially with shoes/boots. On me it averages around 4-5 pounds. Great job on the loss.

With military clothes, you pile that in your hands plus boots I would say that's rather heavy to wear

Yup! It helps that I live in an environment conducive to weight loss... It's been 100+ out here for almost two weeks straight.

Thanks for the help, this thread is great! Full of good guys and constant motivation/tips. TotY candidate, IMO.

No direct sources, should only come from non starchy veggies and trace carbs.

I'm trying to put together my meal plan to start on Monday. Would Mahi Mahi be a good choice for a low fat fish?

777, why aren't shrimp acceptable for this diet?

Shrimp are fine. Have a few trace carbs but still more than fine. Same with mahi. Pretty much any fish other than salmon is a go in this.

I think if most people go by the 80% rule with protein, they'll find it much more forgiving. It's almost impossible to get 100% protein. Get your calorie requirements from 100% protein but follow the 80% rule and the traces from other macros will be fine within that 20%.

Of course the higher the % of protein the better so if you found a suitable diet that has a higher percent and still fall within the calories, go for it.

I just got 25# of fresh wild Alaskan sockeye salmon sent to me by a friend guiding in Alaska for the summer. Caught yesterday and arrived today by air freight.

I'm cutting them into 5oz portions right now for vacuum sealing. Are they not good for this diet? Figured getting my salmon oil fats from the real thing rather than a capsule made more sense?

Weighed again today because this is the week mark from when I started. I weighed on the same scale, and it had been calibrated recently.

Started at 201 lbs. exactly last Friday morning, as I stated before. Today... 191.75 lbs.

I knew I had lost some water weight and maybe a little fat, but good grief. Obviously I don't expect this loss to continue at the same pace, but I am extremely happy with the results I have seen thus far!

Congrats man! That's fantastic results. Great feeling isn't it? Especially so quickly. I never knew the concept of truly eating clean until this diet.

No kidding! I was expecting to be around 5-7 lbs still, but this is great. It's liberating, really. Already wearing shirts I haven't fit into since before my surgery in January.

I'm honestly not even feeling like the diet sucks on a daily basis. My cheat meals are like a hot dog and cinnamon apple chips, or a bowl of chili. Still small portions, but they are extremely satisfying.

I am really looking forward to seeing how much I lose before the 29th. The lady and I have reservations to Fogo de Chao, and I am probably going to disregard every diet rule there is on that day.

Damn! Awesome! Remember to go below your goal weight and slowly go to a recomp after and not go too long on this diet.

Thanks BooDreaux/Hu

And for sure. The calculator page said 6-12 weeks. I plan on definitely doing 6, but I am making sure to pay attention to how I am feeling and how my body is acting while on this diet.

In your case, eat the hell out of that salmon. Don't over think it. Like HU said try and get 75-80% protein. Eat the hell out of some fiberous veggies and enjoy the salmon eating one or max two servings per day. Keep the rest of the day very low fat and you will be good to go.
