Friday check in
225/225/200

Ive drop some lbs in the last 2 weeks, but didn't get on a scale. I know a lot of that was bloat, but with my diet and exercise well under way, some of it was bound to be fat. Im feeling great! Clothes are fitting better. My face looks thinner.

When I get hungry, my body is craving meat. I really dont want anything but meat, cheese, and eggs. Im not sure if that's mental or physical or both, but I like it. Ive been devouring a brisket all week and want more.

started carnivore(ish) diet 2 weeks ago. seeing good results on scale movement. 208 seemed like high starting weight to my what had become normal over past year or so but attributed to holidays etc.

working out as normal just lots more focus on the diet

First entry - 53 yr old male. Started Jan of 24 with diet and gym work. Made good progress until Aug getting stronger and reaching 220 but was feeling ragged out from months of calorie restriction. Loosened up on diet and started lifting 4 vs 3 days. Felt better since then but due to 4 day lifting started getting ragged out again after making some decent strength gains. Weight floated up to about 228 so was able to maintain pretty well.

Decided to take a week off from lifting and reset my diet - needed to let my joints rest. Will go back next week and alternate 3 and 4 day weeks trying to push to my goal of 210.

Time to bump this thread. This week makes 2 years since starting my weight loss & fitness journey. I’m pretty much at goal weight for the past 6-7 months but still working on decreasing BF% and adding lean mass. In the gym 5-6x a week and diet is all protein based with a fairly even mix of carbs/fats.

God only knows what my starting BF was but I got a dexa done a few weeks ago and I’m sitting around 18% now. I was pleased but looking to see 15% or less next time around.

Peptides & HRT FTW

Anyways

Recently turned 40, and still weighing at about 215-218. Been living here for right about a year now. Lighter & much healthier than I was at 30!

What worked for me?
Meal prep Both for food quality & portion size
Move! Typically workout and/or golf 2-5 times a week.
Accountability I weight myself every single morning! Can't track it if you don't know what it is. When I'd see the extra 2-3lbs the next morning after indulging in fast foods or other unhealthy meals, that strengthened my commitment
Pretty much completely cut out soft drinks & fast food

This is over the course of 12 years. I was hovering around 190 for quite a while, but the real stuff has happened over the past three years when I got really serious about my diet.
