What have you been eating and how often have you been exercising? I can get to the gym but the consistency with diet is what gets me. Need some good ideas if you don’t mind sharing, especially for breakfast and lunch.

What do you normally eat?
Just about every morning, I have the following:
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese
1/2 cup liquid egg whites
1/3 tablespoon of butter
2 whole eggs (all of these are cooked together)
Followed by 1 cup unsweetened almond milk with one scoop of protein powder.
That takes me to 67g of protein; 21g of fat; 6g of carbs; and 482 calories before lunch.

china is so weird...on one hand its completely commie.....on the other hand, they are more capitalistic then us. The peptide market is perfect example of how capitalism is supposed to work
vendor A offers product that is about the same price but has crappy service and doesnt test
vendor B- test every product and has every product tested by end user at random and provides great customer service at about the same price or better....
every1 choices vendor B.....except those getting a kick back from vendor A....they bad mouth vendor B every chance they get
but yea china is cool on the person level...frick their government.
ok back to business
back down to 187.4 this morning. not sure what the spike in water weight was from. but mostly gone now.

Still doing better after vacation. Still around 20% body fat.
I used this calculator for my macros: LINK one of yall posted it a few days ago. I cut another 300 cals off what they recommended.
Currently trying to eat:
1800 Calories a day with Macros:
22G Carbs
88G Fat
219 g Protein
This weeks meals look like this:
Breakfast: 3 eggs, mayo, mustard, celery (egg salad in a bowl), and a protein shake
Lunch: chicken breast, spinach, broccoli, spring mix
Snack: 2tbsps peanut butter and a protein shake with flax and chia
Dinner: Same as lunch basically.
I will have to up the calories and the macros once i hit my body recomp goal and get into maintenance, but i still have easily another 10 or so pounds and 3-5% body fat i want to lose before i do that. I currently am not feeling tired all day and can complete my workouts without failing, so i figure I'm getting enough protein and fat and calories for now.

I had a funny thought today:
As I get healthier i have mirrored feelings from being obese:
While healthy: I am sore from working out, but is a good sore i can feel in my targeted muscles for a day and I'm proud of it. I am hungry or get a random craving for junk food sometimes, but it's a hunger I expect and can deal with because i know I'm eating enough as I need and I know i dont need the junk food.
When i was fat i was sore with joint issues from inflammation and back issues from weakness and no stretching. It was miserable and a source of complaining not pride. I was hungry and felt sick often. But it was not a proud feeling to conquer but a miserable feeling to succumb to.
My biggest problem since getting what i call "sober from obesity" has been dealing with the feelings I used to suppress with food and alcohol. But it's making me a better person, slowly. Having to learn to be patient, how to deal with stress, how to calm down when I'm angry, etc has been great. Much better than eating 1500 calories in McDonals because i had a shitty sales meeting, or drinking bourbon because I'm impatient with my kids or stressed at work. .

What's the best way to integrate some fasting into a workout plan?
I currently lift Tues/Thurs/Sat at 6am. So what time/ day should i start a 24 hour fast every couple weeks? On workout days? On rest days? Eat a protein packed meal after a workout and then fast until the next morning?

this or on rest days, why you fasting though

Multiple reasons:
I enjoy small fasts every month or so as a reminder that I have the will power to do them and as an offer/thank you to God. I find them to be a good sort of reset both physically and mentally.
I'm also conscious that dieting can become an addiction as can restrictive eating and binging. So I also like to indulge guilt free of counting calories (within reason) on vacation or special occasions like holidays, so i find after feasting i like to take a day or two of just a couple hundred under maintenance calories and low carb, high protein meals and follow that with a 24 hour or so fast just to get back into my eating routine.

new to this thread... guessing the 3 numbers are start/current/goal weights
201.6/195.5/180 (Start was in March, current was last time I weighed right before Memorial day)
Went to step on scale this am and stupid thing was out of batteries will get an updated current weight tomorrow
Currently lifting 4 days a week and try and do a group boot camp fitness (cardio / body weight stuff) 2-3 times as well.
No current diet or plan. Starting to track calories today. Done this in past and only thing that can keep me on track even though it's kinda of a pain but so is not having comfortable shorts
will use thread as accountability til hit goal.

put on a few in June.... Tracked full day of calories in My Fitness Pal. They have a feature that says if every day was like yesterday in 5 weeks I'll be 185. No idea and can't believe if that is accurate but will give me something to track over the next few weeks and puts a goal out there.
cheers

Jacked and tan yet?
The scale hasn't moved for me over the last week. I fought with covid, hammering meds and not moving much, so not surprising. Coming out of the covid fog today finally. It wasn't as intense as my previous bouts but the fatigue/lethargy is still the worst part for me. Trying to play with my kids on the floor and fighting falling asleep
Back to it.

I should probably start checking in this thread. Been inactive for 4 weeks now post surgery. Think I can start doing some upper body movements while standing.
Diet has been bad with the inactivity. I'm all or nothing when things are going good/bad.
Focused on getting my 200g of protein this week. Start tapering off calories as well.
ETA: I know people mentioned how hard it is dieting while having a young family. They weren't lying. Just too much food around.

Down ~4lb in the last month.
Stepped up my mileage but the biggest thing even though I hate to admit it has been the decrease in alcohol consumption in the wknds. I would lose 2-3lb during the week and gain it right back on the wknd and just keep that swing back and forth.
Almost no beer for June and minimal seltzers and bourbon only on wknds.
