so since i finally got a scale today. I weighed 216 at the start of January when i started the 60 day challenge. This morning I weighed in at 196.8. this puts me at 17% bodyfat. Havent measure waist in over a week but know I am down over 2" at the naval. This is exactly what i was looking for when i started that challenge.

bottom line is what i laid out in that thread works. Granted i have been using the steak and eggs diet instead of what i laid out but either way, it works.

if you are looking for something to do or are confused on how to proceed with cutting, look at that thread. Push the warmups hard, push the intervals & circuits along with getting stronger and you will recomp your body.

I've been following that thread. I am still unsure if I am doing everything right, but when a weight feels too easy, I up it. Each week, I up weight slightly on lifts. I am crushing the homework which I think has given me the most benefit.

The diet is easy at this point. I just know what I can and cannot eat. I make casseroles and eat off them for days. The weight is falling off. I'm looking forward to being me again. I want something resembling my 19 year old body again.

doesnt matter if you are doing everything like i said, if you are making progress, you are doing everything right. If you are pushing the weights up, you are doing everything right.

You know, if you ever did decide to ditch those last little greens, you could up the protein to 40-60 or 50-50 to avoid the mess. Helped me out a ton

I only eat veggies or anything other than steak eggs and occasionally salmon if I go out with a client to lunch or weekend dinner with the wife

Never thought I'd say this but.. I miss the gym. I've been hit with two separate colds back-to-back, the child brought them home from daycare. I haven't hit the gym in 1.5 weeks now. Feels bad, man. I think I'm finally in the other side of my current cold but still hacking and snotting everywhere so I'm gonna hold off on the gym for another day or two so I don't infect my fellow gym goers

New to the thread. Don't post much but I read a lot. Was always thin and got in shape easily. Things changed when I hit my late 30s and things weren't as easy. I would work out occasionally but the fat build up would not disappear like it used to. Started reading this board and decided to get serious.

Alabama grad and decided to get serious after the disaster of a game on the 9th.

Went strict keto but really didn't know what I was doing. Reading these threads and google and finally figured out what worked for me. Miller Lites are no more. Miss the taste but not the bloat. Substituted Tito's and water and really like it and feel better. The last week I started MFP and that was an eye opener.

I know people won't judge but I'm 48, 5'9 male. Started at 148 even though I was working out but looked skinny fat to me.

Currently at 136 and feel great, the best I've looked since I was 35. And I like the food I'm eating.

Kind of hoping this could turn into the 2.0 version of the thread. That was a great read. And sorry for the long post. I've appreciated the recipes, advice and the testimonials from just being a lurker.

Keto, IF and lifting. Seeing definition early in the process makes it easy to stick to the program.

Had my first non-compliant week since starting on December 29. And I under-ate a bit on my maintenance week, so it's really not that big of a setback. My cold got exponentially worse, sinus infection took over so i was running fever and just didn't have a huge appetite, which is rare for me. I'm not too mad about it. Average weight decreased by .1 pounds, so overall things are fine.

Back to fat loss this week.

It sucks when you are on a roll and then something out of your control gets you off the tracks. Feels like you are starting over.

First day back to the gym in 2 weeks. Deadlifting was not a problem but the metcon killed my lungs. Afterwards they were really inflamed and I couldn't stop coughing for about an hour. Probably should wait til the lungs clear up some more before I hit up intense cardio.

Found a cool fasting app. It’s called “Zero”

Going for a perfect month in February. Been doing a nice 20-30 minute walk per day is so fricking nice m8s. The lady and I are on a step bet challenge so it’s making get some more steps in daily. Feels nice.

Also shout out to zucchini noodles and Rao’s combo.

I am going to try shirataki noodles with Rao's Vodka Sauce later this week. Will post how the noodles turn out after I try them.

I've used them in red sauce dishes before. They're ok but meh. They go really well in Asian dishes, which should be obvious

How are things going for you these days? You have the congestion whipped yet?

My head is not really congested anymore, antibiotics knocked that out real fast. My lungs are still congested some. Not as bad, but still find myself coughing and hacking up nasty stuff. Hoping the cough doesn't last much longer.
