Does anybody know if there was a decent study done on vanity sizing of men's pants over the years?
Right now I'm sitting at about 210, with size 34 pants fitting comfortably (across multiple brands). The last time I was a comfortable size 34 was late high school/early Navy days when I weighed about 190. This was circa 1996, 1997. My drinking like a sailor days began shortly thereafter - and my belt line soon followed.
In the mid 2000's I dropped down below 200 briefly, but even then I was a comfortable 36.
My actual belt line circumference now is 37.5", so vanity sizing is in full effect. But, I'm not sure if that was just less of a case in 10-20 years ago, or if I'm coming down with a different body composition. I have no idea what my actual measurements were in the past.

Days like today are the worst. I ate my calories for today, but I am really hungry. Can’t wait to lose all the fat and eat more food again.

I slice mine in half before cooking them to make double the breasts but thinner

Yep those days suck. I also have days where i feel like a bottomless pit. I can eat and eat and eat, and just be hungry all day anyway.

Figured I'd join the party.
Started at 230 on August 1st. Been doing intermittent fasting (12 to 8 pm) as well as keto, no carb diet. Walking 1.5 miles at lunch, running/walking 3 miles in evening.
Currently down 23 lbs in 7 weeks to 207. Ultimate goal is 180.
Only vice has been some bourbon on gamedays...once I made it through the first weekend of tailgating it's been easy peasy.
Amazed at the mental focus as a side benefit of the fasting, healthy diet. Been sleeping much better as well.

Nuts & seeds have been added back and no ill effects. Dairy and eggs next up.
I'm going to start tracking again. I've added enough foods back that I'm worried about overeating.

6ft 227 in April on Dr’s scale.
I finally decided to do something about it in July.
I weighed this morning and I’m 189.
Very limited carbs and good fats.
I’ll try to maintain where I’m at.

For the first time, I looked in the mirror naked this morning and I saw the weight loss. I was like “Who da fuq is that?” I’ve been feeling it in my clothes, but now I SEE it. I was worried because I haven’t done any conditioning over the past two weeks (trouble getting up in the am) to supplement my lifts. But, I feel better now.

Haven't followed through well with my tracking.
I'm in a weird spot.. My kid is going to be born in the next week and I have no idea of the schedule implications that it will have. I want to give Renaissance Periodization a go, but I also don't want to spend the $100 on a cut template if I don't really commit to it. I know it's just an excuse, but ultimately I feel a reasonable one.. Perhaps in a few weeks when I start to get a feel of my schedule with a kid I can commit to RP.

Nice.
I want the cutting template. Base through cut 3. I think that's the auto diet?
