Week 1 day 1 done. right at 55 minutes.

I am going to like this month, today reminded me of Arm Farm. I wish my gym had more dumbbells. we have a billion light ones, but only have a set of 55s, 60s, and 80s. I did all of the DB rows with the 80s.

Starting Day 1 of this pool party this afternoon after work. Hopefully my damn shoulder allows me to hit the 80% sets on bench.

they are similar but more squats. same with filling the hoodie. PS and FoTH tend to focus more on shoulders, traps, back but still lots of arms.

W1 D1 complete. I timed it but forgot to check my watch until after I was almost home, I know I was under an hour tho

The cardio was brutal, definitely underestimated the upright row to lateral raise SS. Traps and delts were smoking

W1D2 done.

So I am an idiot and used my deadlift percentages for squats yesterday. No wonder they felt heavy

Deadlifts felt good today. OHP felt good at 135 too. I added some ab rollouts to superset the deadlifts. I will feel those in the morning.

W1D2 done.

Solid leg day. I have been focusing on depth on my squats and really felt good today.

I am liking the drop sets. This is the first PPSA program with drop sets, I think. I would have liked for more of a drop set on the last set of squats.

Ready for the big pump day 4 tomorrow!

34 reps of squats was a doozy. Nothing compared to leg day on 70s big though!

Week 2 Day 1 Yesterday Behind on everything this week. Right at 50 Minutes

Squats were higher percentage low reps...went smoothly
Bench same but higher rep structure again went easily. Ancillary work not brutal

Not a bad day at all. Have to get my schedule cleaned up to get through the rest of the week.

W1 D3 done this morning. Whoa! I’ve never done this kind of program and am not used to the feeling of taking things to failure. The DB weights I’m using are humiliatingly light.

Really liking the set/rep scheme on the major lifts so far.

All three workouts have taken me about an hour, so far.

W1D4 done.

Holy arm and shoulder pump. Took me right at 75 minutes. The last super set of 4x25 of skullcrushers/hammer curls had my arms burning.

week 2 Day 2
53 minutes late evening Wednesday

Went fast and did not follow rest periods

Deads went smoothly Drop set at end had me testing grip strength for sure
Shoulders and back work still feeling this morning

Again i think this is his best all around program and i could do it year round. Just really works everything enough while still pushing me to the edge some day and some sets

Big squat day today

Well I've been lacking in participating in the program party. I'll be more consistent moving forward.

I've completed the first week of Pool Season with the following 1RM: TM %
Bench: 1RM 245: 92% TM
Squat: 1RM 305: 90%TM
Deadlift: 1RM 365: 90%TM

W1D1
Pretty good introduction into the week. I tend to be more leg dominant so the squat was pretty easy, bench felt good. Really like the backoff sets for bench, could always use more bench volume. I tend to sub meadows rows for the 1-arm row and DB skull crushers for straight bar. Cardio fried my shoulders but it was a good day.

W1D2
Pretty quick day but had to drop weight on the overhead press after the deadlift. Felt the pullovers in my lats, also like the lower reps on this program. Feels like when I'm doing pullovers for 8+ reps I never can jump up in weight.

W1D3
Love the squat day, good amount of volume. Really focused on form for the 2 arm rows. Was able to get some greyskull conditioning in after this workout, 100 jump rope x 400m run x3.

W1D4
I've read about this day on previous program party threads but had yet to experience it. It was everything I hoped for, lol. Since the bench was such a low % I had hoped to round up, but quickly figured out I needed to run down for the working weight. The pump was unreal by the end of it, and I had to drop a few weights for the shrugs. I ended up just breaking them into sets of 25 with minimal rest in between. I had hoped to get a greyskull conditioning session in afterwards, but I was spent so I'll try to combine it with my zone 2 cardio on Sat.

All in all the first week, with the exception of W1D4 I've been able to get through the workouts in about an hour. Really like this program so far, already can tell I'll either re-run it or try Pool Season II afterwards.
