OHP/Bulgarian superset wasn’t as bad as I was expecting it to be; will have to add weight on the Bulgarians next time I guess.

W3D1 AF done.

Those DB laterals with curls to OHP plus the close grip bench SS is a damn killer, but I love the pump

Started Arm Farm today. This will be my first time running a PPSA program. Looking forward to seeing the progress it provides.

You really see it when you run a few programs in a row and then go back to one you did several months ago and see how much more you're lifting.

Who is mixing in cardio with a 4 day PPSA plan and what does it look like? This is what I did last week. Is this overdoing it and not getting enough recovery?

Mon: Lift
Tues: Lift/3 mile run
Wed: Off
Thurs: Lift/3 mile run
Fri: Lift/1 mile swim
Sat: 1 mile swim
Sun: 1 mile swim/15 mile bike (1 hr)

why?

like what is the point of doing all that cardio? just walk or ruck if goal is to just look better

honestly if you want to do that much cardio, ppsa really aint right for you. way to much volume in ppsa to be doing that much cardio.

I do sprint tri’s. I also have to stay super busy to keep from drinking and it helps. Would the cardio hurt my gains? Or just unnecessary?

I used to love running but I had to pick if I wanted to look like a runner or a lifter.

There was a thread on here a year or so ago that said would you rather be able to run an ultramarathon or deadlift 400 lbs and someone said I'd rather look like I can deadlift 400 lbs than look like I can run an ultra. That stuck with me and that's when I started dialing back the running. Now I just walk.

for sure unnecessary but if you like it and it keeps from bad habits...frick whats necessary...keep doing it

as far as hurting gains....its just going to be hard to recover from that much. but man way way way more important things in life than gains and if its helping you stay grounded and away from booze then keep doing that man

and obviously you like doing the sprint tri's so stick with it

now i would say be very careful with the overall volume with ppsa and that much cardio. just monitor yourself

make sure you are getting 8 hours min sleep and i would say try and get 9-10 if at all possible.

also make sure you are eating to support your goals.

i assumed you were doing all that cardio just thinking it would help you lose body fat faster, we see that a lot on this board, but i was obviously wrong. keep doing your thing man.

W3D2 Arm Farm done. Got lots of work in at Back Arm University today. Yikes by triceps were on fire after all those extensions, then close grip push ups, and then Tate press.
