I need dat for my camp during the summer. I bought some bands to do while I’m there but I don’t find I benefit from them much.

I like them much better than I thought I would, and not to blow too much sunshine up your arse, but when you gave them the 777 approval, and knowing that you were using them for years, gave me high expectations.
Easy to switch weight, I like the grip, and while a little bulky, I cannot see that rendering any of the motions of my exercises.
There was a little play in them when doing hammer curls, but definitely not enough to cause concern (I had it set at 20lbs just to try out, I'd guess when bumped up to 40lbs, it be even less noticeable).
777, you mentioned having some of your weights replaced, what was messing up on them? With very minimal mechanisms involved with the design, what got fricked up on yours?
Only thing I could see happening would the plastic "pin" needing to be replaced down the road.

so my plates are cast with urethane over them. they were the original urethane set released over a decade ago. well during the cold spell this past winter, i dropped them from about 6 inches like i have 1000 times(literally) and 1 of the times 1 of the plates broke from the bar and then the next time 2 broke. let me see if i can find pictures
ETA: I found the pictures. Understand though this is after a decade of use or more. These things are like tanks. Granted prolly cant drop from shoulder height but when benching, you can let your arms flop down and drop.

Glad you posted this. I was treating them like they can’t be dropped at all. Like from 2”.

no they are fine especially if dropped flat. also its 100% lifetime warranty for home use. Just have to pay shipping and its like $10-$15

How do you change the weights in smaller increments? I get the pin can change from 20lbs in increments of 10lbs but how do you get 25,35,45 etc?
I see the little internal weights. Takes a bit to get used to but seem pretty solid.

so you have 2.5lbs adder weights in the handle. you can remove one at a time and then you have 10lbs increments for the bigger plates
so you would have
15
17.5
20
25
27.5
30
35
37.5
40
etc etc
so you would have

27.5

I've only used mine a few times, but I can say they are pretty awesome. I recommend these 100%.

Question to anyone that might know. I purchased the PB Sport Exp Stage 1 & 2 on Woot a couple months ago. I’d now like to purchase Stage 3, which I can from PB at $180 but does anyone know if the PB Exp Stage 3 on sale with Woot now at $90 would fit the PB Sport Exp? They look identical from the photos except for the color, the PB Sport Exp being Gray and PB Exp being Black. I don’t care about difference in color & I don’t mind saving $80.

Reddit claims they will, but I cannot say for sure. You can always return them if they don't fit. I think its worth a shot.

they on sale again?
Yes, look at the 2nd link in the original post. You’ve got 10 hours left.

I clicked on the link. That's a great price.
I have the older version with the expansion 2 & 3. Still can't believe my neighbor gave them to me for free after his boss gave them to him. They both had zero desire to work out.
My set is at least 10-12 years old.

Powerblock has a 15% off sale right now. Is $356.15 a good price for the Elite USA 50lb?
Posted on 12/29/24 at 8:30 am to BigPerm30
Powerblocks are great. I once owned a small gym and they were the best things I bought

What would be y'all's preference:
Elite USA 50 for $356.15
Or
Elite EXP 50 for $299.99
Elite USA 50 for $356.15
Or
Elite EXP 50 for $299.99

I don’t see the EXP on the power block website. How do they differ from the pro and elite models that are on their site.
