I’m doing this and the weight I falling off.
Plan on eating just potatoes for 3-5 days.
Eat 2-5 pounds of potatoes each day.
No other foods allowed (this includes butter, sour cream, cheese, and bacon bits).
Salt is allowed, but not encouraged.
Drink when thirsty: coffee, tea, and water only.
Heavy exercise is discouraged; light exercise and walking are encouraged.
Take your normal medications, but dietary supplements will not be needed.
Besides the lower caloric intake - I resets your brain to stop craving sugar and fats.
It isn’t a long term thing obviously.
LINK where I heard about it.
It’s how Penn from Penn and Teller lost all his weight.

Kevin Smith did it as well after his heart attack. It works great for restarting your system and taste buds.

I'm Irish, but I'm not sure I'm this Irish.

This sounds just crazy enough that it may work.

Ten years ago I had about a foot of my colon removed for diverticulitis. My digestive system was severely messed up for awhile. The only thing I wanted to eat for 3 weeks was potato’s and English peas.Baked, mashed and potato soup 3 times a day with side of English peas.It was weird,Only lost 8 lbs,12 inches colon probably weighed a pound plus I had nothing for a week, damn tube was in my nose for 5 days/6 nights.I hold on to weight,if we ever have a famine I’ll survive.

Sometimes I question how many of y'all survive on a daily basis, naive and dumb is the only thing I can think of to describe anyone that thinks this diet is smart way even to crash diet
