For the record Grasshopper is more of an advanced program than say greyskull lp or madcow. It's percentage based monthly progression.
Great program but it's not for like a newbie. It's more an intro to ppsa methods. More of a program for those with 2 to 3 years legit lifting experience if one is looking for optimal.

I would consider grasshopper to be beginner. It reminds me a lot of a high school football program or at least what I used in high school.
I messaged Aaron on instagram and asked about true max or training max and he responded with “It’s a beginner plan so a true max should be fine because the percentages are nothing crazy.”
The percentages are definitely lower so it didn’t make sense to use a training max to me personally either.

well i dont consider any % based program to be a beginner program. to me its real simple, use the program that can allow for fastest accumulation of weight on the bar
so for me
linear progression --->>> weekly progression--->>>>monthly progression.
grasshopper would be a monthly progression.
it is nothing complicated and certainly can be used as a beginner program, same with 531. all will get you to the same spot, just may take longer, but the good thing about taking longer is you can drive progress longer.
in the end all that matters is you are having fun so you are staying consistent and you are adding weight to the bar.
and for the record i do not know shite compared to Aaron and this is strictly my opinion. he forgot more about S&C this week alone then i have ever known.

I just finished week 1 of Brickhouse remastered. It's a beast. Looking forward to the weekend to recover.

Finishing up Grasshopper this week. Any recommendations on which one to start next?

I'm on week 3 of Turnt Up and I think it's my favorite one yet. My body typically responds better to full-body workouts and this one seems to be the most "even" if that makes sense. I'll probably try to run it twice and up the 1RM second time through.
I will say the 5-rep day is pretty brutal. Trying to properly rest between sets has me there for a while.
Also it's not a gripe about PPSA, but the gym I go to in Nola has maybe the worst squat rack per square footage I've ever seen. Can take forever of walking in circles until one opens up

Finished up Return of Dr Jacked today- LSU777 asked for a review, so here we go.
Likes-
I like volume and this has plenty
Very much a split- allows to slay your big lift for the day.
Lots of arm work
Front squats
Love how overhead press and Arnold press are incorporated.
arse kicking days are usually followed/led with “easier” days
Shrugs: my traps getting that slope
Kicks your arse. Felt sick multiple times
Dislikes-
His warmups are meh- you must make time to get your mobility in
Wish there was more dead’s, I’m sure he something to fix this.
Wall sits & rdl - lol it’s a love/hate thing
No programmed conditioning. I walked a lot and hit a 10 hard Tabata peloton once a week on leg days.
Results- I posted an InBody result last week, but I’ll summarize here as well.
Weight as of 1/13 = unchanged at 222
Muscle mass = + 4 lbs to 106.5
Fat mass down = - 5 lbs to 40.8
Body fat % = -2.2% to 18.4
I'm scanning again next week. I’ll update
Thenz
Strength- I didn’t fail a lift. This is big because as I initially looked through the program and calculated my weights there was a few “no way” moments.
I'm traveling this week and plan on testing maxes first of next as my gym has a 1000lb club challenge they started. My numbers weRe based of the following:
Bench - 330
Squat - 380
Dead - 450 ( this is prob ambitious )
I'll update with my new numbers
Visual-
Def can see a change in mirror and lost a belt a belt loop. If I got down to 15% bf and kept the muscle mass, is consider myself pretty jacked for a 44 yo.
If you have the time to devote 5 days a week, do it. My wake up call is 0330 everyday to make it happen.

Kicked around idea of doing LCi, but in having fun doing this. My gym partner and I decided to stack the pool seasons for the next 8 weeks. I wonder if PPSA will make us a package seal for everything lol

They used to be cheaper. And you could buy bundles of them to reduce the price per program.
I want to buy a lot of the new and remastered programs, but I just can’t bring myself to pay $200 for programs. The high quality and affordable price is what attracted me most to these programs in the first place. Did anybody else notice the prices increase? Or is it just the absence of the bundle deals?
Not blaming Aaron. They are fun, well put together programs and he has to make his money.

Used to be $15 a piece I think. I am wrapping up Pool Season 1 tomorrow and rolling into 2 next week.
Posted on 3/3/22 at 10:08 pm to SaintTiger80
19.99 is what they have pretty much always been.
I suggest just buying 1 or 2 per month.
I do think yall will like pool season.

I'll have to write something up on it. I forgot to write anything on silverback.
Posted on 3/4/22 at 9:35 am to lsu777
probably had to raise the price after the popularity of the original thread
Posted on 3/5/22 at 9:44 am to iAmBatman
Lol Nas they were always 19.99 from what I know. Everyone has to raise prices in the Biden economy though
I think he is releasing superset as a remastered version soon.

Moving to week 5 of grasshopper tomorrow. Had an absolute blast the first 4 weeks. Just wanted another day of lifting. Which I’ll now get with 4 lifts per week.
Body/mindset is definitely changing.
