However I kind of bastardized the program

I do this sometimes. When I am running out of gym time I'll cut the "cardio" portion, etc

P.S. I did 9 sets of 11 reps of squats for 9/11 and that pretty much convinced me not to attempt Squatober this year, guess I'm a softie

Squats are definitely my weak spot and least favorite of the " big 3" lifts. I'd be more down for Deadcember than Squatober.

I ran it last year, I liked it, but to confess I did run it as a 3-day/week program instead of a 4 day. It wasn't a short workout, I think most workouts took me around 75-90 minutes, and the "cardio" section was pretty intense.

I’ve run all the 4 day programs every other day instead of MTThF over last 8 months

It ends up me finishing a few days longer overall but much easier for me to train every other day vs finding two days in a row

Brace Yourself Day(s) 19-22

Plan is wrapping up nicely. Tough but clean reps on almost everything. Still having some issues on overhead press with my left shoulder. I'm working on different stretching methods to see if any of them may help.

Front squats have been SOLID and are quickly growing on me as one of my favorites. I realize close grip bench press is very different from normal bench regarding the muscles worked, but I've noticed it is much easier on my shoulder.

The superset on day 21 was just brutal. 20 front raises, 20 side laterals, and 10 curl to OHP as many sets as possible in 5 minutes ( I got 2 and 1/3). Then is immediately went into 5 sets of 10 on skullcrushers... barely finished the last couple reps.

Today (day 22) was LONG. The RFESS weren't too bad. Deadlifts were solid and actually felt great. No soreness in my back (which I was feeling in the setup) and weight moved great. The SS (6 sets) of incline press and 2 arm rows was taxing (especially the last set of 15 presses and 20 rows).

Looks like one more long, heavy, taxing workout on day 23. Day 24 should be much quicker with the lower volume. I'll wrap this up Thursday, get some recovery work Friday, full body workout saturday, then recovery again Sunday and Monday.

Plan on being fresh for Squatober!

Been doing a normal bro split for the past month or so. Will be out of town on vacation for 3 weeks in November so probably won’t be working out. Thinking of doing a challenging PPSA starting next week for October. Got my eye on Dr Jacked which is 5 days/week. Anybody done it?

2 days into Periodic Table of Thickness, so far so good.

as a few of you said it does run long, had to skip "cardio" piece on day 1 due to timing but got all of day 2 in 1hr 12mins.

plan is to run as written as 4 days a week

cheers

Yea it almost gets boring and monotonous sometimes.

That was main complaint with Let’s Get Peachy as well.

thanks aaron. good to see you drop in every once in a while, hoping everyone here has been contributing to your business.

i would imagine this would be the largest community on the net in general running your programs consistently.

I've been working on my back squat form for a few days and is just about right. What do you think? Should I go a little deeper?

I have Disney planned right in the middle of Oct so I'm thinking about starting really late squatober this year.

Eta: I may be in the minority but I feel BYIC is the best overall program! I just restarted it again!

Thank you for the 10lbs of muscle you've put on me. I will continue to support PPSA.
