I am a long time Asics guy when it comes to the shoes I wear to work (I'm on my feet all day) and the shoes I workout in. Asics have never failed me, but some people I work with swear by the shoes made by On and that they are great for someone standing on their feet all day. Anyone have any testimonies about running in them?

I’ve heard good things about them. It’s a Swiss company and they make quality products anyway.

They keep showing up in our gym even though not truly a training shoe. All that have them love them.

Got some for Christmas and admittedly haven't run much in them. Great for walking around and standing - incredibly comfortable.

They didn't perform as well as I would have thought running, but maybe I just need to break them in more for that purpose and get used to them. Second to none for standing and walks though.

how do they run size wise?

I wear 11.5s in athletic shoes and 10.5 in dress shoes.

I wear a 9 in dress shoes and usually a 9.5-10 in running shoes. 9.5 fit me perfectly with the no tie lace system they come with - you just pull to tighten it's very convenient. They also come with a pair of regular laces.

I got a pair and they are super comfortable for casual wear. However I dont care for running in them. I guess I became so used to running in brooks and asics that when I starting to run in these my lower back would hurt extremely bad. Maybe it was all in my head. Like I said they are very comfortable.

I’ve had mine for just over a year and have been pretty happy with them. I didn’t realize how much I loved them until going to Disney for 5 days in them. Usually on trips like that I would bring multiple shoes to wear to ease some of the leg and back stiffness after walking all day. I wore them 5 days straight with zero issues this year at Disney. As far as exercises go, I’m a climber so really the most running I do is a mile to mile and a half warm up at the climbing gym to limber up. I do have a consistent leg days built into my schedule and have had no issues with the lacing system or staying on my feet. I absolutely love them and will be getting another pair. I’ve tried on the cloudflow and cloud flyer, both extremely nice and comfortable. At the end of the day, I don’t need as much support as they offer so I went with a more basic model.

ETA: the cloud has a 4mm heel to toe drop. That part seems to bother some people being closer to a zero drop shoe. I think years of vans and chucks prepared me for lower drop shoes so it wasn’t a huge adjustment for me. Admittedly, I did have to change up my form a little bir but honestly I think it helped get into a more natural running gait.

I prefer the Cloud with the ease of putting on and comfort of the shoe overall. Assuming you don’t need crazy amounts of support, I highly recommend it.

I wasn't a huge fan of them. I stayed injured throughout the end of the year last year while wearing them. I definitely wouldn't train for another marathon in them.

I think my problem last year was overuse, but I was wearing On Cloud's when it all started to fall apart. I went back to Brooks early this year with no issues. All that said, they're light and are fairly comfortable walking around in them. It's probably just in my head. But I'll stick to my Adernaline's just to be sure.

My On cloud shoes came in, they’re identical to picture. I love the way they feel and look. I would highly recommend.
