Yeah I travel for work so a routine is a bitch. Was doing the 4x400s in cold arse Providence Rhode Island at 8pm or so.

Traveling for work actually gets me amped to run a new place. Search strava, find segments or heat maps and go to town.

Did some pace and stretch/stride work over 2 miles today. Feeling good for the Big Easy Half in the am.

Running is pretty much going to take a 1 week hiatus this week. Between hunting, traveling, spending time with family, not much time for running.

Thought my legs were feeling too fresh so decided to try a run

Went about half a mile, they’re still sore apparently

Ended up on stationary bike for 30 minutes instead

5k Vdot test today. Since September, I've knocked 48 seconds off my 5k pace. Broke into the sub 8 min/mile pace. Not exactly fast at all, but faster than I ever got for my Ironman training last year and still have 2 months to go before the Marathon. Bumped up another Vdot point as well

That’s awesome, man. What’s your VDOT? I’m at 39.5 right now, hoping to knock it down a little tomorrow.

39 now. My goal was 40 by the race in January an possibly 42 for a triathlon in April. Then maybe finally stay consistent all year and chip away to get to ~50 one day.

Hogbody, you are in the 50s already and in a short time. I've been doing this for 3years, Haha not consistently running enough, but doing various endurance events. Wish I had the natural gift.

No race today but I am running a Turkey Trot 10k on Thursday. The course is supposed to be quite hilly.

I ran 7 miles today and planning to join up with a local club run tomorrow morning for an quick 3-4 miles.

I got a 15K tomorrow. Supposed to be much cooler which is good because it's a late start.

Good, most runners are week minded when it comes to the weather (me included) and I love the rain. Competitive advantage Burt.

Finished up with a chip time of 1:49:30 (forgot to stop my watch again). Felt pretty sluggish, especially with 5-6 bridge crossings thrown in (I need hill work badly). Since my son was born on 10/13, I’ve run 3 Halfs and a 10 miler. Halfs have gotten progressively better (01:56, 1:52, 1:50), but I need a damn break from the races, some long/easy runs and SLEEP! 10K on 12/2 is the last thing on the schedule for the year and I ain’t mad at that. Been pretty consistent at 25 mpw, but I plan to walk it up to around 30-35 soon. Very very tentatively on the schedule is the RnR Full in NOLA on 2/20, although I need to decide soon to fit in a training window.

Saw that. Great job today. That many races and a baby, you must be exhausted and ready to recover.
