Think most I’ve done in a week was touching 40…like 37 or 39.

Just don’t have the time for now. Can only run in the mornings on weekdays and generally have to keep it at an hour or less. One day!

Only reason she hasn't kicked my arse is because I take the kid for my easy hour runs

ETA: check out that elevation gain for the week

Close, North shore. My only elevation comes from running the tunnel where the Tammany Trace crosses 190!

Ok you owe me 60 cents.

I'll go back and look I think my elevation gained for the Classic was 65 feet, 15 of that the bridge in the park.

Did 6 miles at lunch yesterday, which was 1mile WU / 800m x 7 / 1mile CD

Then had the inaugural run for a local run club that is trying to start up, so ran 5 miles with a stroller. I really need to get a BOB, because my daughter gets REALLY pissed if we hit even 1 rock

Running clubs are a lot of fun with the right group. Great way to meet people and network if new to a city.

1.5 miles at 10:05 pace
Had dry needling/ electro and scraping done Monday that releasd some severe tightness in my glute and calf. ITB feels great, may try one more easy run Friday and then it’s 50k on Saturday.

Yep. I've made a change and I'm doing my workouts on the treadmill now. It's so hot and humid that I can't get a session done outside without major changes to the workout structure. So now I'm doing my easy stuff outside and any quality work is inside.

50k today at 14:00 pace
iT band held up good and no issues but man it was hot I was holding pretty decent pace for me till around mile 15 and that mid day heat just hit me and I went from trying to average a 11-12 min pace to just finishing. Had a shower come through and cool things off and was able to pick it up some but man it was brutal. Glad I was able to check the ultra box but want to run a cooler race to really be able to fly at my normal 10:30 pac lol

Couple times she could have passed me.
Group text hit me up at about the time I should have been finishing based on my planned pace to see how I was doing, I replied that I had just got passed by a big back on lil rascal scooter headed to the buffet at Golden Corral!!!

That's incredible for a 50k right now man, big congrats. Also, how are yall running trails and not running into snakes right now? My trail race in April I had to move a timber rattler off the trail and I've seen 3-4 racers/chicken snakes on the streets i run since then.

I was running in the city about 3 weeks ago and got a video of a racer coming out of a trash can near campus. I've got buddies that say if you want to find life on Mars, put me up there and within a 1/2 mile I'll run across a snake lol.
