Talking to some race people they think it’s going to be packed. Grain of salt they always say shite like so you buy a few extra bibs.

Poster this year is solid,

I’ll be out there. Aiming for a sub 43. Not sure on full kit but will have my red Vaporfly next% 2 on. Holler if you see me.

Tough day out there. Wheels fell off at mile 5. 44:12 slower than my time last year but still enough for a poster.

Yeah it ended up being muggy and there was no breeze to speak of for the last 4 miles. I went sub 44 but a good bit slower than my solo time trials in the HM build. I heard a lot of chatting on the course from people with B and C bibs on telling their friends to go ahead because they were fried.

I meant to add, I was looking at people's shoes all the way down Esplanade to give you a holler, never did find you

There were a few of the Vaporfly 4’s in a similar color out there. I was the only one with red Next% 2’s that I saw. I was probably behind you the whole way

Humidity was terrible. But I wasn’t bad hungover this year and had a good run.

Lot of suffering this year and people falling out.

A pretty significant marathon was cancelled this morning: the Carmel Marathon was cancelled due to bad weather, I bet it's absolutely devastating to some people, that's a pretty big "BQ event" for a lot of people.

Yeah man, 4.5 to 5 is the universal suffering distance in a 10k.

I hope everyone is ok just never saw this many people on the deck, not struggling, on the ground.

The CCC is extra cruel in that they let you see the finish line right around that 4.5 mile point then turns you onto City Park Ave to suffer a little more

Pacing a 5K with one of my run group buddies this AM. With .5 miles to go, we finally hit a decent downhill and I urged him to push with whatever he had left. He mashed it and got about 100 yds ahead of me and then stopped and started puking. MFer was drinking the night before.

Coasted the downhill to the finish and PR’d another 5K. First in my age group. Drank beer. Had fun.

I hate those people that are about to finish as I slowly turn.

I had a Garmin pacepro plan to go 42:59 and stupidly decided I could stay 10s/mile ahead of that pace. Turns out I could, but only for 4.5 miles.

Burns 400 calories on her run - eats 1,600 calories to celebrate. Some people can't be fixed...

I forgot to ask: those of y'all who rode the busses to the start line, did you have issues? I was in line at 6:45 and didn't get to the start until 7:40ish, and there were hundreds in line still behind me. I know some of them had to have missed the start. I got about a 400m warm-up while they did the introductory stuff and that's all.
