The local bank paid 1-3 finishers for both the men and women for both races. $300/$200/$100. Not that I would have won, but based off the times that got paid, lots of folks here could easily take home some cash.
I got $50 for taking 3rd in my age group at the Cowtown Marathon last year, a huge marathon in Fort Worth. Need to find these small races with larger payouts

13.6 @ 10:20 to finish out my 80 Mile Week
The race was terrible, the race director should be ashamed of themselves

Am I reading it right that 19:58 won the men's 5k and 42:10 won the 10k?
Yep. Most everyone was more interested in the beer and the wiener dog races. It was fun.

$300 can buy a whole lot of beer. I'd have been hauling arse trying to get that win
My Garmin keeps dropping my race predictions and it's getting to the point where I think it's overly optimistic. It's predicting a 1:37 half right now and I haven't even begun a training block. I'm just doing base runs (and maybe a little tempo here and there) and it drops the predictions a few seconds each time. I don't know how their algorithm works but I think it's busted.

I don’t think it’s exact, but it’s typically in the ballpark. It’s also predicting an overall perfect race. Lots of external factors can blow that up.

All my slow trail runs are finally paying off on garmin race predictor. I just looked and it says 22:18 5k, 47:17 10k, and 1:45:03 half. Garmin is no longer optimistic about my abilities

It's almost worse for me - my vo2 max is now dropping because I've stopped doing speed work and it's gotten hot outside again. My predictions are way off and my vo2 max has dropped a point, yet I'm pretty sure I could go out and set a PR in the Marathon right now, and a pretty significant one at that. It is what it is, I like to use Garmin as a "general idea" but it's far from perfect.
P.S: My comment from yesterday might make it look like I struggled yesterday - I did not struggle yesterday, it was very easy to me and I actually hurt way less than I was expecting after the 50 miles. That being said, I felt the need to call out the race director for putting "not very hilly" in his race description but then had a Marathon with 2,313ft of Elevation Gain.

Was that the BHAM 26.2?

Yes, terrible, absolutely terrible. I love pacing, but when I'm handing out more electrolyte tabs than actually pushing people along something isn't right with the race

Glad I skipped that one. The beer run in Cullman was way more fun.

Ideas for blisters on feet during training?

------
On a serious note and answer - Pop them with a needle and drain them completely and either let them dry out or put moleskin on it: moleskin
ETA: the blister will heal and if you are lucky the excess skin will reattach and create a stronger part on your feet (a foot callus)

6 easy miles tonight. 5 @ HR 130. 1 @ HR 140. Felt decent. Need to get back to the gym on a regular basis.

Last night I got moved up to be the 4:00 pacer for 7 Bridges in Chatanooga... so instead of pushing a lot of miles for the next 2 weeks, I'm now tapering for an actual Marathon in 2 weeks
- life is crazy, but I've dreamed of pacing the 4:00 group for a long time, so I'm going with it.
It's not a conventional training plan, but I get so much more excited about Marathons than I have been for Tunnel Hill - I'm just going to have fun now, if I can sub-24 hour at Tunnel Hill so be it, but it's time to have some fun this training cycle.

What about using runner's tape? I'm gonna try out the moleskin and tape.

I have never tried runners tape (I'm assuming you are talking about KT Tape?) for anything other than joint / muscle support. I've used moleskin and know how well it works, so it is what I recommend. Just experience and my friend's experience (which is how I learned about it)
Intervals today, 9 400m intervals @ 5:30 average. The cool air is soooo nice. I'm into taper for the marathon now that everything has changed, will do 7 miles of marathon pace on Saturday for my long run

Offfield gummy update: I think three is the sweet spot. Been sick so haven’t run much, but I took three for Khruangbin at the Saenger last night and it was perfect.

5.3 @ 8:50. Mostly zone 2.
This week has been hell at work and was supposed to be my taper week into sprint tri on Saturday. 600m/20mile/5k. Tonight was my only workout.
Any tips for a first time tri? Thx.

Easy and very snotty 4 miles this morning. This virus has been a bitch. Three weeks til my 5k and I’ve barely gotten any good speed work in. Not sure my 19:59 5k is gonna be possible but
