Progressive run again tonight. 2 miles at 130HR, 2 miles at 145HR, and last 2 miles at 160HR. It was supposed to rain and never did. Last two miles were right at 8min/mile. Felt good. Looking forward to Sat long run.

FYI for anyone looking for shoes. Joes New Balance Outlet has FuelCell Supercomp Trainer V2 in various sizes. $141 shipped. Supposed to be a great do it all shoe, I grabbed a pair to replace my Asics Gel Nimbus 25’s.

Is that threshold or VO2? A sub 8min/mile 10K pace is impressive.

That's my "goal" Marathon Pace, and my current Half-Marathon time. So Tempo?

It was good getting a 2nd workout in during the week though, with ultra training I haven't been able to squeeze in a 2nd workout yet, and I don't expect to be able to again this training cycle. Unfortunately for my mental health these workouts are incredible for my motivation, so I've been missing a bit of that motivation every week. (The marathon pace and half marathon pace stuff is even more of a motivation than intervals, and those are the workouts that have been removed from this cycle)

You coming with us this week? How far are you running? I need to run pretty slow, but probably going to stick with John Lyda for most of the run this week (unless he decides he wants to book it this week)

I've deemed the summer group runs as pointless. My HR dictates a pace that is just too slow to be in a group. I'm hoping this winter will bring a faster pace so I can keep up with everyone.

Was supposed to run 20 today, but called it a day after 15 miles. Very humid and very foggy this morning.

15.4 @ 13:50 with 2600 elevation gain at pine mountain this morning. Legs felt better than I thought they would after the 50 miler last week.

20 Miles, 3,012 ft elevation gain, 9:09 pace because I had someone to talk to the whole time so I went way too fast.

The run started with a huge monsoon and rained the entire time. I DID NOOOOT use enough glide, gold bond for the win :sigh:

12 miles at Black Creek this AM. Out and back, 6 miles at 130HR and back at 140HR. I like running there when it’s raining.

Def liked em more than the 3s. Felt like they were more in line with the 2s. More of a bounce like the 2s than a rock like the 3s

Bought my first Tunnel Hill shoe: Mizuno Wave Inspire

I wanted a shoe with great stability but not aggressive - the nylon plate and foam make it an amazing shoe with lots of stability, but not a lot of aggression.

I think it's going to be the second shoe of the night for me - right now I think I'll be starting in the Altra with a small drop (they are "Altra aggressive" - so not a huge amount, just a little)

10k trail race today. I used it as a nice tempo run to finish the week at 40 miles. With the pinhoti100 just 7 weeks away, I'll start one more build cycle to get me to 3 weeks out before easing up and resting up.

Yup, my 100 miler is 8 weeks away, did 50 miles this week and will do 65 next week... Then in 3 weeks I think I do 80.

Then it's a few cut back weeks with 1 marathon I'm pacing in late October.

This training cycle has been intense

Anyone here try Offfield CBD gummies for running? Curious if they do anything or at least make long runs a little more enjoyable

Such a pretty chart with correct increases, mine is like the "slow uncle" born after years of drug use

I have concepts of an ultra plan
