None. Liner running shorts. I've run 200+ miles in these particular shorts. I did have one gel in each pocket. Possible pulled shorts in a slightly different manner . These are my only shorts with pockets and I never put anything in them. Only thing I did different. I read up and it does apparently happen. I've never heard of it though. Never felt it during the run, just that shower sting surprise.

100% synthetic UA or Reebok. Snugger the better.

I was running with my son a few months ago training for a 10k and he kept grabbing his business. I asked what’s up and he said his privates were hot. I look and the kid wore cotton boxers on a 6 mile run. Made me want to cry for the kid.

I was running in New Balance Dry boxer briefs, which I really enjoyed. I purchased the Adidas equivalent because they were a couple bucks cheaper, and started running those almost exclusively. Thinner and breath better than the NB. You can pick them up on amazon for cheap if you are patient.

Not a fan Burt? I don’t remember my exact time, but it was a 7:34 pace and got first in my age group (after taking out the overall finishers)

That was after my 10 miles before the race, so I was pretty dead at the end.

Ended up with 20.17 total miles timed at 7:49 pace for the day. Probably a bit too quick but oh well

It was unorganized; top three shorted the course and took home trophys anyway. I was really disappointed for Anita (the actual top female finisher).

I don't know, maybe I'll do it again next year. It wasn't as bad as say the 5K at the LPGA. That's the most unorganized race I've ever been a part of.

I ran with Anita pretty much the whole way, she was booking it!

We talked about them shorting the course, I didn’t know of that had been confirmed. I was shocked when I hit mile 3 and they had already been up the hill and back down...didn’t seem possible.

Overall I didn’t think it was terrible, just need some more volunteers out on the course probably.

Great job on your time!

Thanks I knew they shorted it because they didn't pass me and I (technically) won it.

Yeah. They didn't make it to Washington Regional. Wasserface told me her watch said 7.3 but she sure took that frickin trophy home anyway.

Imagine my surprise when all the checkpoint judges are telling me I'm in the lead then POW! 4th. It's alright though, of those that did the 9.3, I won by almost 8 minutes. so I'm over the moon right now.

That’s awesome dude and sucks at the same time! Did they cut it on purpose?

No, they didn’t do it on purpose. A lot of us didn’t say anything because we figured they’d do the right thing and we didn’t want to look like tattle tales.

Ok, so the race is next Sunday and training is all but finished. This weeks taper....
Mon: OFF
Tues: 6 (treadmill 1x:16 @7:00 pace)
Wed: 8 ( Road) "nice weather "
Thurs: 6 (treadmill) easy
Fri: OFF
Sat: 14 (Lakefront grass) push a little. Up and over levee 14 times
Sun:7 (treadmill) 4x:1 @ 7:00 pace

Total: 41 miles

This week I'll do about 20ish miles with just a few minutes of speed sprinkled in. Feel ready, now just a matter of putting the nutrition plan on paper. I know what did and did not work in training.

Running with a Nathon vapor air. The plan is to fill the bladder up to 1L (holds 2L) and use my 500ml soft flask for tailwind. Each packet of tailwind is 200 cal. I'll plenty of spots to refill when needed. Just not sure of my sweat rate. If you've seen my posts, I drink tons.

Breakfast is simple toast and 1 egg. Right before start is a banana.

I plan on 1 packet/hour and change. My training conditions have been pretty tough (heat/humidity) and I expect better for the race.

I'll carry 3 extra packets on me and have more in my drop bag along with oranges.

The drop bag spot is an aid station I will cross 3 different times. I can't imagine being able to take in more than 200 cal/hr but if I can/do, my bag will be close.

So far that's the plan. But everyone has a plan til they get punched in the mouth.

Was in Colorado last week for work.

Tuesday: 2.5 miles
Thursday: 4.5 miles
Saturday: 8.5 miles (new personal long)

The 8.5 miles was in Breckenridge. Holy hell the altitude was a mofo. But damn the scenery was awesome.

4 miles this morning. 9:04 pace. The Garmin says, “You are mentally weak. Push harder. I believe in you!”

Would have told myself a 9 minute pace was unsustainable a few weeks ago.

Is the material starting to break down?

I’ve noticed the...erhm...panty liner of my shorts gets rough after a few months of consisten wear. Silky soft at first but will eventually start chafing as it wears down.
