Yeah I need to run an actual half to see what I can do there next. It’s been a bit.

Anyone in Dallas or familiar with Dallas have some running trail or route recommendations? In town for a couple days and looking to get a morning run or two. Staying at the Marriott downtown on Pearl. Just want to avoid inadvertently running through sketchy areas.

Just played on Google maps, think that’s my ticket. Gonna run down Olive to Cedar then get on Katy Trail.

Had a break last week with a fishing tourney taking up most of my time. Got 6 miles in this AM. 8:30 pace with my last two miles being the fastest 8:15 and 8:10. Getting ready for a couple of local races (10K and an 8K) before the big event Mercedes Half Marathon.

Hello, run bros. I've been knocking out all of my planned runs and bikes. I haven't been updating in this thread because it feels like I'm bragging when I do . I hope everyone is doing well.

The second workout of the week would be fast stuff to work on turnover. Think 14-18 30 second fartleks at mile pace with one minute rest, or 12-16 1min on, one off at 5K pace for the second Q session of the week. Doing both workouts (Longer intervals and the shorter fartleks) up until race week.

BRM, just wanted to say thanks again for the suggested workouts. I did the fartleks this morning and it was a nice change up to add to my speedwork. Completing these workouts is giving me confidence for my 40 min goal this Saturday. Hope all is well

Thanks dude!

He did. I didn’t see him. I checked it out and I don’t think it went to plan. Looks like queensboro bridge killed him.

What does everyone have set for this weekend? I have 15 at 9:39. Looks like the weather will be ideal (50 - 52 degrees), but it will be breezy from the NW (9 - 12 mph winds).

I hit 500 miles on the year during my run this morning. Damn, my legs are tired

I have lots of rest planned. Still feeling the burn from the marathon and a few twinges I’m not too happy about. Will take a little time off to see what needs healing versus what’s just marathon pain.

Hoping for a good spring marathon.

Plan calls for 12-16 mi progressive long run. Will probably land at 15 and looking forward to great weather again.

Hate the time change. My normal Thursday runs will have to move to the morning now. Too dark to run my normal routes as the roads are too busy and sidewalks aren’t lit. First world problem of the day.
