Without trying to sound too weird, this makes me curious..

How big are some of y’all? I always feel like I’m a bit bigger for a “runner”. I’m currently 5’11” and about 173-175, which is the smallest I’ve been since probably like 10th grade (like 14 years)

Same here on the smallest I’ve been since High School, weight wise. Always held a decent amount of muscle, but that is dwindling away as I’ve shifted back to primarily running. Not much height here either. 5’7” 148# this am. Still heavy for a runner I suppose but damn, not sure I wanna lose anymore weight.

Ha, yeah mine describes me as “tiny” nowadays. And she’s 8 mos pregnant, so she’s going the opposite way for now!

5'11" 183. Still have a little bit of a gut. Hoping to be down to 170 before I start carb loading during race week.

How many days before race day do you start loading? What distance?

I'm a hair over 5'11, but about the same weight as you. I'm a very skinny frame though. I can stand to get down to 160 from a pure body fat perspective Im sure. I was 155 in high school. When not staying active, I can get up to 185+, but over the last 5 years settled into low 170s.

5’10 and 167 lbs.

10 years ago I was 240ish. Got down to 157 at one point but I was very skinny fat.

What’s crazy is that I was 5’10 and 180 in 8th grade. Never grew another inch except on my waist.

At the moment I'm 6'2" 185 lbs. Hopefully I'm down below 180 come January for the LA Marathon.

At my fittest in adult life, I was at 163 lbs. Actually weighed that on my wedding day 8 years ago.

Those were the days of 80-90 mile weeks though

I don't really want to get that thin anymore, I like hovering around 180, I definitely have more muscle mass these days with doing Crossfit for a year now

Also it's complete bullshite that the weather finally cools off and I get sick

Feeling a little better today, so I'll try to see if I can squeeze some type of work out in. Can't decide if I want to run, play basketball, or Crossfit.

Speaking of good weather, woke up early for a 10 mile long run and ended up going 13.3 around the LSU Lakes. Kept it really easy and enjoyed the weather. It was amazing. All this on about 4-5 hours of good sleep, due to my 8 month pregnant wife snoring all night. Which is good actually, because that’s usually about how I sleep the night before a race (like shite).

I'm 5'10" and 145 lbs. Seems like an ideal running size and frame, but I do wish I had some more leg mass for those longer, tougher runs.

I ran into some new neighborhoods recently built in Madisonville. One of the roads caught me off guard as it had a bit of elevation gain to it. Checked my Garmin afterwards... 7 ft worth of gain.
