Completed the half marathon today in Shreveport at 1:46.43 for a 8.09 pace. I set out in January when I started running again for this to be my first goal (been 15+ years). My goal was to be sub 9 minutes and under 2 hours. I ended a few miles in with a guy who helped push me through faster. Weather was nice and very pleased with the result. Next stop will be a marathon.

Nicely done

I ran a Girls on the Run 5k with my niece in Alexandria this morning. She told me she wanted to run 26 minutes earlier this week, but right before the race she admitted she lied to me and she had never ran below 40 min

So we started at a 9 min pace, and we held that for 1.5 miles. We were in 4th place overall at this point.

She started having trouble around this time and started fighting with me about stopping. I would let her walk for 10 seconds but then make her run another 1/4. We did that till the finish where she still finished in the top 10 at 30:36, easily her best time and #1 from her school. She was super proud and so was I.

Also I saw some Dad walking around with a TD hat on before the race, so if that was one of you, I saw you

Ok just bit the bullet... just booked Hilo, HI 26.2 for 3/2022. Ran my first marathon in March in BR. This one hits home since i graduated from UH Hilo in 2003. Scared to death but 10 months to prep. Super stoked!

10 miles this AM with the run group. Man it feels like Fall out there!

I did a little under 6 with a group yesterday and it did feel like a fall run.

I think last week was going to be our coolest week till November, so I’m glad I got to get out in it.

Baw, my Waitr driver couldn’t even make it to my house. What makes you think I’m running tonight?

I went early morning yesterday and today and just got barely sprinkled on. You gotta earn the sunrise.

I’ll believe it when I see it. Still have my hotel booked from a month ago.

3 up 4 down with a 5 mile tempo in between in this gross assed weather. 5:42 5:43, 5:41, 5:32, 5:25 for those that are interested in how the tempo part went.

I picked 2022 followed by 2023 only because I got into Chicago this year. I'm curious as to how they handle the 2022 and 2023 as I assume most international runners will be pushed to those years.

Got my confirmation today.

Anyone who chose 2021 got in, including international. 54% of people chose it. They’re also doing some charity slots. 33k total

Note: Hill intervals aren’t the same as intervals on the track. Wow.

Got my confirmation for 2022 yesterday. Kids had a blast two years ago so we're excited to go back.

4 miles (7:00/mi) on the mill at Reds. Surprisingly enjoyable compared to the humidity outside
