I've ran in some of my wife's nike shorts when all of mine were dirty. Makes me feel a little prancier.

Ha, indeed. I think that's a strictly Fenix issue, but it's hilarious when dudes are banging out 2K' of gain running the LSU Lakes.

I don't know what gets me more mad, the people getting 2k' of gain running the LSU Lakes with their Fenix or me not getting the same results with the same watch. I'd easily double their wanky totals with the routes I run.

Yeah, it’s pretty funny/frustrating. I get my arse kicked daily in Northwest Arkansas for a couple hundred feet on a 10 miler. Meanwhile folks be bragging about 1000 feet on 4 miles in some of the flattest places on this continent.

Anywho. Tomorrow’s workout:

10 1k repeats @5k 90 sec jog recovery 5 minute jog then a buck in quarters at speed pace to close it out. 3 miles up, 3 miles down.

Unfortunately I can't fit in a Women's S, but I have more running shorts than she does anyway.

Hey Burt, some attention whore out there would pay good money for your watch assuming you don't wipe it clean of your activities.

How much? My numbers are looking weak this year and I have record low likes on Strava.

I don’t know. I want to give you a good deal, but after the monster workout I had this morning, it’d seem foolish to just “give” it away.

I have sunnto ambit 3 and run the flat roads of nola to the tune of 1000'+ of gains but strava now has an elevation adjustment feature. what's really odd is if I use it in actual mountains like 2 weeks ago in North Carolina the elevation gain is within 5-10% accuracy.

BRM - that's a stout workout run!!!

Thanks everyone! This workout figures me to be in low 16s shape. First one in a while where my turnover and form was strong until the end. This is also the first workout where I felt I shed my old coaches training completely, and got back to my spring form.

Tour de France on TV, I've been more on a bike the last week.

Back to the track today though.

1 mile warm up
5x 1 lap F/3 med
1 mile cool

Thinking about signing up for a free virtual Xterra run this weekend just for the hell of it.

Tonight was the last run before the race on Saturday. Completed a really solid four miles at a pace I hope to keep up for 9 more miles.

I shouldn't PR but my goal is at or under 1:50. I've been running a lot but didn't train for a half and there almost 600' of elevation gain on mostly gravel and dirt (snowmobile trails). No rain in the forecast. Maybe 50°F by my start time, and it looks like it will stay below 60°F for the entire race.

I’m jealous of those temperatures. Good luck with the race

I almost became a victim of the OT’s favorite dog tonight. I was cornered on top of a brick mailbox by a pit bull around mile 1. Escaped unharmed by startled the shite out me.

Eesh, that's scary. I'm glad to hear you weren't harmed as a result.

What is the preferred food for the day before a race. Only a 5k but I'm new to the running lifestyle and it's early morning. I want energy to overcome the groggy morning feeling but not a "full/bloated" feeling. Any food/nutrition advice that you typically abide by.

My go to pre race breakfast is peanut butter toast with honey and cinnamon.

Pre race dinner, weirdly, has been vermicelli bowls. Lean protein and carbs

Mainly, just eat something you know won’t mess with your stomach.
