Got a new pair of Saucony Kinarva 11s yesterday. Put 6 miles on them. Knee started bothering me at mile 4. Just a nagging deal. No where near the pain I had last month. I'm not sure how much of it is mental.

Three miles in 23:56 today (7:59 pace). I have some tired legs and left leg shin splints.

Time to rest up for Saturday. That brings me to my question of the day: should I run 11 or 12 miles this Saturday? I ran 11 last week at an 8:49 pace and my half marathon is next Saturday. I wanna be phresh for my race.

Less. Maybe 8-9. Your building/lsd phase is over if you race next weekend. Doing 11-12 that close to the race won't help any that close to the race but might have effect on your freshness.

Okay. I’ll just run the bridge twice (8.8 miles). I appreciate your help, Burt.

For next week, I planned to run the bridge Monday (4.4 miles), 3 Tuesday, and then rest the remainder of the week. Is that good?

Wouldn't hurt to get out on Friday and jog a couple miles. You'll feel better race day if you do. I promise.

Just a slow jog? Or try and beat my pace time?

Roots is right. Speaking of... Ran sans shirt today; it’s that time of year again.

I’m all like Kraft Mexican Blend, thin but shredded.

I have a race this Saturday and am starting to worry that they'll cancel it. I'd be so disappointed.

I’ve got one 3/21 and one 4/4-both in South Mississippi. Hattiesburg has a presumed case of coronavirus. It wouldn’t surprise me if both races are cancelled.

I won’t be surprised if the race is cancelled either. I’ll run 13.1 that day, by god, that’s for sure.

I’ll run it with you. Winner buys the beers.

I’m all like Brie: soft, a little salty, and white.

Yeah I'm running on Saturday somewhere regardless, but this race will be in a quarry that I wouldn't be able to access otherwise. Up and down the quarry twice. So pumped.

There's been rumors of the Bentonville Half being cancelled which would be silly. If they do, I benefit and take home the Series Championship though so there's that I guess.
