Yup. For me it needs to be at least a 4 percent spandex blend for my tits to be happy. 100 percent polyester just doesn't cut it. Although if it's above 70 I prefer to run topless.

Burt I took your advice from a few pages back and got that 35 $ Adidas jacket. Been a good one so far. Now if I can just get a solid pair of earbuds. I always buy the cheapos on Amazon and they've been crapping out . I guess I need to buck up and get a pair of some more expensive ones.

The earbuds I run in cost me $20-30. First pair lasted 3 years including many runs in the rain. They are Bluetooth but do have a cord that connects each earbud together. The sound quality is good too. I’m sure there are much better earbuds but I wasn’t sure about paying a good bit of money for something I knew I’d be wearing in the rain.

I have some Anker wireless sport headphones that are great but I barely use them. Anker seems to be good quality for the price IMO. Walmart sells the brand.

Spring race season is here. Time to get your race goals ready!

I have that shitty Bentonville Half coming up so I don’t really have any expectations for it nor do I have any expectations for the short course Bentonville 10k.

Would like to get a 16:40s or better at the Jack Rabbit 5k on the 18th of April. Not going to race a lot this year.

I used a set of Phaiser BHS-530's for 2 years with no complaint. The battery life is forever on those things. I got a set of AfterShokz Air Bone Conduction Headphones for Christmas that I like because I can hear things around me when I run. They seem to cause more power loss from my Apple Watch when I use them. Not sure why.

Bay St. Louis 1/2 on 3/21. Hattiesburg 1/2 on 4/4. I need to start looking for some 5k’s, 10k’s and 15k’s for the late spring and summer. Unless I get a wild hair, my next 1/2’s this year will be the Jazz in October and the Mississippi Gulf Coast in December.

Thanks gsadle, jukin and Burt. I think the issues I'm having are because of my Garmin watch. I have the 645 music and apparently almost ALL wireless buds will connect to it but only a select few will work well with it. I actually found a Garmin forum dedicated to which buds work the best with that watch so I'm gonna try another cheapo brand I saw on there (tranya t1). It's been a game changer being able to leave my phone behind on runs and still have some tunes.

Will probably sign up for the local 1/2 here in a few weeks. Hoping for 1:45 or better. Then it will be 5k and 10k's until the fall.

I knew I was going to pay for pushing it on that trail run last weekend, but my legs are absolutely trashed as of right now. My right leg is having symptoms of posterior shin splints on the inside of the leg just below the calf along with the insides of my knees screaming. I think I got too sloppy trying to keep speed, I will dial back to a 10:30-11 pace for the 25K in April.

I ran Tuesday morning with quite a bit of pain so I have backed off all week and just gotten a few easy rides in on the bike trainer.

Is anyone here running the "Badass Texas" Waco half in May? I think my wife and I will do it so she can get an idea of the terrain for the half IM she signed up for in October over there.

I’m in for the Bay St. Louis half marathon with my baw DownSouthJukin.

We may set a landspeed record. UOENO

You maybe. I haven’t run my 10 miler this week and with a fishing trip planned this weekend and Sunday dad duties, it will either get run in the dark on Sunday night or on Monday. And I’ve only got 3 treadmill miles and 6 tempo run miles under my belt this week. Slacking.

My only goal is to finish under two hours.

I’m gonna run the bridge (and back) next week so I’m not too taken aback by the incline on race day.

Lucky you. I don't have the benefit of any hills on any distance run I have. My neighborhood has 3 miles of road with hills, but that's it. I guess I can run it 3-4 times in a row in the coming weeks to prep for the bridge.

I probably have about two feet elevation change from where I begin most runs to where I end

10 miles in 1:26:57 today (8:42 pace). My legs felt very weak all day, although I flew through the first five (40:20). I've been battling a bit of a nagging cold. I'm glad I got through it, although it was a battle from the first step. This is the furthest distance I've ever run by two miles.

My legs were jello when I stopped running. My wife told me I was very pale, which is not good, considering I'm already a pasty white baw. I feel as if I was pretty close to passing out.

My goal is still the same: finish under 2 hours, although that appears to be more challenging than I thought two weeks ago. Maybe two weeks of good runs will have my legs back in shape.

Sidebar: anyone have any tips for blisters? I have just one on the front of my left arch and it's a hoss.

Twas not, friend. I'm what's known as a never was. Showed some promise in high school, ran one year in college (D II) but was never talented at the collegiate distances and didn't have the discipline to be worth a damn.

Got some bad habits, took up smoking and drinking for 15 or so years and here we are. I've been back at it for 2 years and 3 months now.

For that part of the foot, corn pads or bunion pads with a band aid covering it is what I do. After it heals if the shoes do it again, I trash em. What shoes are they so we can beware?

Thoughts on the trials?

Gonna be pissed if they break coverage for DJT presser that they just mentioned.

Won’t be any different than their 30 other cutaways

From what I can tell, looks like Rupp is pushing the pace on each hill then letting off. Might be able to tell if they’d talk about the race
