Check your Strava comments and I'll send you my info.

Good news is --> the 105+ heat index advisory will be lifted next week.

I have the same pains. Inside knees in the front, more on the right than left side. I find it’s not as bad when i stretch my quads, hamstrings, and calfs REALLY good after my run or other workout. It’s still there, but significantly less noticeable when i regularly stretch.

No shite. I thought maybe it is because it's so soon after the USATF Championship, but many of those runners are in other meets this weekend. Some of which I've never heard of before.

It’s straight up oppressive out there. Knocked out 4 this morning, kept a 9:30/9:40 pace...was dying. Could’ve maybe squeezed another mile but had to turn it in. Dog days are here

I guess there's no incentive to go with so many money races happening the same time? Happy for my girl Nikki H (1500) but damn when a Brazilian (my team B) is winning the 10000, nobody wins the 10000.

My wife and I are looking at putting together a long weekend in Chicago at the end of September. Only real plans we have so far are to go to the Bears/Vikings game @ 3:35 on Sunday and then go watch the Saints/Dallas game.

Obviously I am already looking at running stuff and low and behold if the Chicago Half/5K are the Sunday that we will be there. I'm thinking I gotta hop in the 13.1, eh? Would be about a month out of my goal race, but what better way to test fitness right? I'm sure my wife will love the idea...

All the races that I'm doing this fall I did last year with the exception of the marathon in November.

I'll post last years times with my goals.

Kindrick Fincher Hydration 5K (already did in May): last year 20:31 this year 17:41

Worst Race Ever 5K: Last year 19:21 Goal 17:10

Razorback Run 15K: Last year 1:01:30 Goal 44:59

Goblin Run 5K: Last year 18:02 Goal 16:45

White River Marathon Sub 3hr

Freedom Frosty 5K: Last year 18:44 (tough course 30mph gusts) Goal Sub 17 (if the weather holds up)

Ah ye old Freedom Frosty. It’s picturesque if nothing else. Nice improvements, Burt. No doubt you can hit those goals.

Heat really kicking my arse lately on faster paced stuff. Trying to stay positive but damn it's breaking me down. With a 3:30-3:30 shift schedule at work, it makes it pretty much impossible to run before work on the days that I work. Leaves many of my runs needing to be done in the middle of the day. I really need to bite the bullet and at least start doing some of the speed workouts on a treadmill, reluctantly so.

went out at 6:15 this morning for a 9 miler (one small 1 mile kicker in there for an easy KoM) at a pretty relaxed pace and i was drenched and dying coming in. it was 87 before the sun was even up. when i was getting water at the end my shorts were dripping sweat like i just got out of a pool.

let your hearts not be troubled my friends... tDecline is coming. these 100 degree days suck, but there weren't very many in my neck of the woods and it'll be highs in the 80s by the end of september.

Yes sir! Just gotta vent a little bit around this time annually. I'm OK with the heat until I try to get down around sub 7:00 pace for a couple miles, for whatever reason, then shite can get ugly quick.

I did 12 at 9:20 pace on Saturday then went outside to ref a football game. 6 hours in that heat was brutal, pretty sure I had heat exhaustion

I’m running next as well. Nowhere near as fast but I’ll be in it. Keep me posted. We’ll meet up

Did a 10.5 mile run on saturday morning. Absolutely brutal. Was planning on 12 but decided at 10, EFF THIS.

Outside of running I do a lot of HIIT, Boot Camp, type stuff at least 3x a week.

At the end of January, would anybody be interested in doing a 5 x 5K trail run? Run a 5k every hour on the hour for 5 hours and track an accumulative time? There's a race at the end of January outside of Houston trying to get organized.
