Cdawg,
This was half marathon elevation stats in Burnet today. 3 friends ran the half, 2 are doing the full said it was the worst terrain they’ve ever ran.

Yah Burt, you and he would get along really good. He’s an automation/AI guy but y’all can both pick an axe.

Actually, your comment got me thinking about how all the sports fads and those who participate are cyclical. I see a lot of these groovy hipsters and hippies latch on to the cross fit movement which was dominated by bros a couple of years ago. The bros are getting into ultras and shite which was dominated by the hippies. I'm just happy people are trying to do better by themselves. As for myself, the dude doesn't abide yoga.

Yeah, 1st in his age group. Obviously a small race (local church fair deal), just pisses me off that I was outta town cuz I could have competed for that tape!

Ha! All so true.

2:03 half marathon today. Missed my goal by three minutes but the 700 feet of elevation gain killed me on two of the big hills.
Still happy though as I missed two weeks ago with a severe stomach bug and haven’t trained like I wanted to since mid March.
On to training for Chicago.

Welp. My running streak came to an end yesterday. 53 days in a row of running at least 3 miles. Guess I'll have to start a new one today. 257 miles was the final tally during that stretch.

Impressive streak for sure. Didn't look like you turned out to many slow days in there either.
My wife's job schedule is becoming a little much for me. Throw the kids' stuff on top of that, and I was only able to get in 21 mile sin last week. About to start running twice on days my schedules allows me to. Sounds good in theory. Probably going to suck in practice.

That’s quite the accomplishment. I couldn’t do that and be worth a damn. I need my off day.

I've done the Xterra triathlon there when they use to have one there. That section in the pic was part of the bike course. I got off course on the "moon surface" rock because it wasn't marked well back then. It was always a tough race. It's no joke.

Had dinner with my guys last night and they said it was the worst course they’ve ever done.
They finished the half marathon in 2:20ish but took 3+ hours on the second loop.
