Yeah planning to get up early on our trip to Sedona later this month to get runs in before we hike for the day. We’ll see as it depends on how much wine I drink the night before. Not stressing it too bad as it’s vacation and it will be nice not to be worried about getting my run/training in every day like I do now. Labor of love.
Y’all follow this Marathon Investigation dude? Apparently he caught a cheater at the Best Damn Race NOLA. I always find it amusing both the amount of time he puts into exposing them and the amount of effort (or lack thereof) these hacks put in to cheat a course. For what, who knows?

That's hilarious. I've never heard of that site.
At first I thought he cut the course by running of the main route and through some side streets of NOLA. In that case, he would at least deserve a medal for his bravery.

Will have to read up on Marathon Man cheat. Went down the rabbit hole of Kelly Agnew (Ultra Cheat). He has to take the cake. Dude was doing laps in a porta potty as a sponsored athlete. Read up on him when y’all get time.

I wish I could say I didn't believe it when I read it, but Kelly always came off not right to me. I met him a couple times at Cajun Coyote, and hung out with his wife (who's really a sweetheart) at the start/finish both years. But I always thought something was off with Kelly. I always wondered if the year he won it, he really won it.
EDIT: Dang, Kelly was charged with felony theft, among other things in February.

I’m mildly competitive in that I’ll go after some KoMs on Strava and don’t want to suck it up in a race, but cheating on a race where the money isn’t that big makes no sense to me.

Was up early and running by 5:30 with the intent of getting in an 8 miler. But the lightning was getting too close for comfort, so I had to cut it off at 3 miles. So I sat around and drank coffee and watched the lightning show for half an hour. Of course now that I'm at work, it's just raining with no lightning. Maybe I can get some more miles in this evening.

I’m about to run laps around this hospital. I hate being stuck, just sitting here all day. Probably not going home till tomorrow either.
