All my BCG shorts fell apart fast except 1 pair

I’ve had varying success.

One pair I was on an 8 mile trail run and got caught in a downpour. They got so saturated and heavy that they fell off mid run about mile 5. Waist band got stretched. I finished the run in my underwear.

Another pair I was on a half marathon (not a race)in a big park in San Antonio and all of the sudden I realized I didn’t have my keys in my pocket anymore. Brand new shorts... as in bought them 20 minutes before the run and the pouch developed a hole. Had to back track 3 miles to find them.

Another pair is 3 years old and is still fine.

Must have been that 5:28 mile that did ya in?

Mile repeats yesterday? What did your rest in between look like?

Squeezed in a 5 miler at 8:00 pace before work this morning. I used to be exclusively a morning runner, but I'm finding it more and more difficult to get up at 5am these days to do it. But come summer, I'll have to, because no way am I running after work in the heat.

I cut the liners out of my run shorts and just wear compression underwear underneath.

I'm surprised this isn't the most common answer. I wear both Adidas and NB and seldom have any issues. They also dry fast as hell if anyone has concerns about that. The liners chafe me between my balls and legs.

Emailed the CCC about the C corral and they shot me down. Basically I missed it by 55 seconds. I even sent a link to my recent 5K but they said the only 5K they accept is their Fall Classic. Looks like it's D for me this year. Oh well.

Run without your shirt and it won't be the only D you take this year.

I know the brand isn't well liked by a lot of people, but I run in Lululemon Surge Shorts with liner. The liner is essentially compression shorts. I typically get the 6", but have a pair of 4" as well.

I might be with you. I ran 45:05 at the Mardi Gras Mambo. When I registered for the CCC I just put my expected finish time at like 44 and put the link to my Mardi Gras Mambo run. Do I need to email them to get into C, or do I just hope they put me in C?

You'll be totally fine for a poster with a time like that. Did 44:xx and got one a few years ago, if you're splitting 45 in a half you can cruise and get one.

That is what people keep telling me. I hope y'all are all right!

Last year cut off was 43:00 but I know it was a fast year

I have these with the regular liner (just their running shorts), are quickly becoming a favorite

Just creep up to the front of corral D and can chase down the C group

Arkansas boys need the support. no need to have a bunch of bruises on the inside of their thighs running all the way down to their knees.

Well, it happened. My name was pulled for the Marine Corps Marathon and now I'll be attempting my first marathon. Guess I better start figuring this running thing out.

Probably so! Had to get that fast one one!

Mile repeats with 1 minute walk in between.

I wish. My alarm is set for 2:20 am for work. Definitely no pre work running for me. Already dreading Summer.
