Need basic fitness tracker to track steps/movementsPosted by Chicken
on 1/13/21 at 10:57 am

This isn't for me. They don't really want something sophisticated like an Apple Watch or a Garmin...
Is Fitbit the best option? I see Fitbit 4 is a popular option. As is Versa...
Can someone recommend one of these or something simular...

An app on your phone might be the best option. Shoot, if you have an iPhone, the health app comes preinstalled. I would avoid buying a new piece of tech if they’re not going to be using it for anything other than a pedometer. Speaking of, you can just get an old school pedometer at Wally World for like 5 bucks, I bet.

I love this one.
Counts steps, calories burned, heart rate and daily weight. You can also control the music you play through your phone. I’ve lost 41 pounds with its help.

Never. Doesn’t keep accurate track of steps and no heart rate detection

Apparently you can get a free one from the VA if that’s applicable.

I use the free pedometer++ app on my iPhone. I’ve walked over 2,000 miles in 6 months since I started tracking my distance.

Yeah, and my phone’s gps connection is better, more accurate, and quicker than my garmin 235. The only thing the garmin is better at is portability cause it’s a watch, lol.
More like a Shaq-pack.
