Gym had lots of people in it. Not overly crowded but busy crowded for lunch hour (for those still employed)

Older people younger people some older women, etc, mix of crowds.

Not one mask.

Not one person acting stupidly.

Total and complete return to normalcy. First i've experienced in a long time.

I'm not sure there is any other place right now than will be able to duplicate normalcy so easily than my gym.

Feels good to be back. Need to lay off the beer now.

I will be heading to my new gym after work. I look forward to it. I am in the same boat as you. Haven't lifted weights since they all shut down. Did a walk through of the new gym on my lunch break, and I'm excited to get back going.

Monday was my first day back also. It was basically empty. No mask requirement. They only asked that we wipe down the equipment after we were finished. It felt good to be there.

Went back to mine yesterday as well. Same things you mentioned.

It's going to be a painful few weeks, that's for sure.

Holy frick that is an understatement. I was actually pushing around some pretty heavy weight for me before this shite hit on deadlifts and squats. Even though I have tried to replicate as best I could my lifts using as many sandbags as I could at home, there was no way I was gonna come close to the pounds I was lifting in the gym. I got up to 405 this morning and where I could easily get 8 reps easy before, I couldn't get more than 4 today and I can barely sit in my office chair at work because I am so sore.

You did a helluva lot better than me. I only went up to 225 and it hurt. I'm not as sore as I thought I would be today but tomorrow may be another story.

Yeah, I decided to ease my way into it. 2 months with no heavy work, I knew I'd be dying today. Only did 3x3 on squats at 225lbs with a backoff set of 10 at 135lbs. Next week I'll probably increase to 275 or 315 if I'm feeling saucy. I just wanted to make sure I didn't kill myself.

Before the lockdown my work sets were around 395lbs.

Me too. 225 wasn't heavy at all but man, after not lifting for 2 1/2 months, it actually hurt in some areas. Nothing crazy but definitely felt it. I won't go to 275 or 315 for at least a month.

I was by no means knocking it out of the park before covid, I was doing well. My benching was the strongest I've ever been. I've definitely taken a step back, but I think Ill be back to where I was in a few weeks.

It won't take that long to get back to where you were at. I'm doing chest today so that should be interesting. Won't go heavy, just want to do enough to not get super sore and gradually move back up.

Went last night for first time in two months. Ugh. Took it easy and will do so this week. I’ll jack it up next week

So i did back today, and the main difference in my lifts isn't my weight, its the endurance. What i was typically repping 5 sets of 8, im still getting my 5 sets, but after i hit rep 6, rep 7 feels like the weight doubles

Did chest yesterday. 225 felt like 315. I know it will get easier but it was kind of demoralizing.

Know what you mean. After a long layoff, I leave my ego at the door. First week I call the getting reacquainted week. I just do three sets of ten on everything, drop the weight down some. Dont push it too hard, just want to get used to it again.

Then the next week I ratchet it up some, get closer to what I was doing, now I'm pushing hard but not getting stupid. Week three: full force

Yesterday began week 2 for me back in the gym, and week 3 of keto/low carbing. My endurance improved since the first day of week one (not surprising). I'm still a little under what I was lifting pre covid, though I believe the numbers will start to creep up within the next two weeks.

Been back a little over a week. Deloaded and back on 5x5. Also mixed in a running program on my days off. Dropped 25lbs during quarantine and trying to get some mass back.

That’s what I’m doing... about 60-70% of my usual on chest/leg days...
I’ll get back into the really hard workouts in a week or so

I noticed that in some of your posts. What type of diet did you incorporate?
