49:36 no vest. Wanted sub 45. Just didn’t have it today.

Hands ripped and had to do singles on pull ups last few rounds.

Too bloody hot.

43:44 with no vest. I suck at running. Did the calisthenics for 20 x 5/10/15 at 1:20 intervals. Will get one in with a vest in a few wks.

Completed my first one Saturday morning. 1:03. No vest, but went straight through. Definitely a hard workout. Wanted under an hour.

Run 1 mile
100 pull-ups
200 pushups
300 squats
Run 1 mile

Wear a 20# vest if you got one.

It is to honor Lt Michael Murphy who sacrificed his life in Operation Red Wings (Lone Survivor).

The Memorial Day Murph workout is done to honor all US soldiers who have lost their lives.

The workout was created by Murphy, but he called it Body Armor, and he always wore a weighted vest while doing it. After his death in 2005, it became the standard Memorial Day workout to honor all of our fallen heroes.

I get GCF to do one every October that’s a partner workout for the 8 Marines killed (includes my older brother) on Oct 8th, 1990.

8 RFT (You go one round, I go 1 round.. 4 rounds each)
8 HSPUs
8 Wallballs 20/14
8 KB swings 53/35
8 Box Jumps 24/20
8 Snatches 95/65
8 BF Burpees
8 Pull-ups
8 Thrusters 95/65

Thanks for the correction.

Sorry to hear that about your brother man, we truly thank him for his sacrifice for this great country.

We got a wod coming up this weekend to remember Tait Hendrix who was a crossfit coach at Coyote Crossfit in MS. He was killed on his way to work a few years back on his motorcycle.
60 min amrap
Run 400 m
14 pull-ups
14 pushups
14 burpees

After the 60 min we finish it out with bench press and curls, his favorite exercises.

Straight through with dead hang pull ups is the way to do it

Was at the beach since Thursday so I didn’t do it this year

That’s the way I did it. Our gym has a few pull-up bars that are the perfect height for me to fully extend while standing flat footed and do a pull-up. Then I dropped. Took a little longer but was doable. I went straight thru with a vest in 60:40. Hardest part was the last run after the air squats.

I did it for the first time Monday. 56:00 unvested.

I can't do 100 pull ups so needed a lot of help there. It's a good workout. The last mile took me 11:00 I was dying
