looks like he could have knocked out at least a couple more. Probably smart not to go to failure. Those spotters probably couldn't have gotten it off his chest.

That form would not pass in a legit powerlifting meet, but still impressive nonetheless.

Training for events is typically over your comp. Rack pulls, towel bench, bouncing.... Strengthens the CNS resilience.
After watching, it's not far off.

Uh, yeah it would. Have you seen his record benches? They're identical.
All 4 reps had a pause.

I don't know what he thinks is wrong. It's not an ideal angle, but I see a pause each rep, he's not sinking and heaving, no downward bar motion and it doesn't look like his butt comes off the bench. It just slides with leg drive.

Those guys looked "a little" small to be spotters for a 700lbs bench.

Feeling awfully bad about my weak bench after seeing that

So in today's episode of how Maddox is leaving humanity behind, he does a paused 725 for 2 with something obviously in the tank.
For perspective, only one other person has done 725 for a raw single, and did it once. So, he doubled a weight that only one person previously singled on the best day of his life.
725x2

Maddox is going to try 800 on Saturday. I can't believe he'll get it, but I didn't think he'd get 770.

That’s how I feel every time I watch Tiny Meeker bench.

Huh? He pauses at the bottom and locks out at the top. arse never leaves the bench. Where's the problem?
