Nice job!

Good luck to the rest of you!

I'm wrapping up week 2 of the prep and back to about 90-95% health wise. I think running the prep plan was a good way to easy back into training while still recovering from whatever it was I caught. With no more setbacks, I should complete PR day mid April.

Alright I’ll geaux 1st

240…. I’ll take it and it is what it is. Not bad for a middle aged dude.

Thinking back, pretty much neglected bench since before Squatober. I dropped my training max week 1 or 2 of this deal as following his plan but got stronger as month went along and maybe should have kept it up. I’ve lost 15lbs of bodyweight since 2nd week of January so ha there is my list of excuses

Cheers fellas, been fun, hope y’all crush it today

I have to be honest, I assumed he was some overweight bum who ate cheetos in his moms basement all day and is just a keyboard warrior.

But I was wrong, he's just a little bitty guy

PR of 315!

I hadn’t maxed since high school and was always hesitant with going heavy on bench due to an old shoulder injury. I gave this program a shot and started at a weight that I knew I get but was heavy for me at 255. After last weeks mixup and I got 280, I was shooting for 300 today. But 300 felt easy and I just added that 3rd plate and let it ride.

Very impressed with this month. I have a new found love for pull-ups!

It feels good don't it, Jose?

Don't ask me to explain it, every weight lifter on the planet understands the deep satisfaction that comes from clapping another set of wheels on the bar, it doesn't need to be torn apart and analyzed. It feels awesome because it is awesome!

Now, what's up with this Mingo dude? Is this fricker for real or is it like a Gaucho thing, just not funny?

b_w, mylsuhat, Billy, good fricking job getting it done, a PR is a frickin' PR.

Felt great adding that 3rd plate and getting it done!

Mingo is a tool that likes to shitpost. Always talking shite. Gaucho is a troll and just jokes, mingo thinks his shite don’t think. I wish they would get rid of him.

Man good stuff, I really would like to get to 300 max before I get to old. Probably only have a few years left to be maxing.

How old are you? I'm turning 50 this year and I still go as hard as I can. Although, I do need more rest days to avoid injuries.

45, I figured by 50 I wouldn’t be pushing that hard. But 5 yrs will fly by and I hope I can still push myself without injuries.

So how scary was it?

I did a final AMRAP set yesterday for 12 reps at 250. The calculator says my 1RM would be 350lbs. I am scared to try 315

It wasn't too bad surprisingly. I had a guy that I trust spotting me which makes all the difference in the world.

Those calculators are weird. I forget which weight/rep count I used recently but my estimated 1 RM was 405. Though 405 is my goal, there's no way I could do that right now.

All that being said, If you have 12 @ 250, you should easily be able to work up to 315-335 for a single.

I’m a little late to the party because I started benchuary in mid-February after getting sick. I was able to hit 430 pounds for my max! I’m a little ways off from my all-time PR but I chalk that up to getting sick
