So what'd you end up eating?

Pretty much what I said I would. I ended up overeating, but nothing bad.

Started with iceberg lettuce topped with tomato and cucumber mix.

Next was the hibachi grill. Cabbage, carrots, broccoli, lots of bean sprouts, beef and shrimp. They let you choose a sauce. I chose the lo mien noodle sauce.

My next plate was mostly chicken. One chicken on a stick, three chicken wings, black pepper chicken, three clams and a frog leg.

The next plate was mostly seafood. Four boiled crawfish, four boiled shrimp, one blue crab and some other creamy cheesy shrimp dish.

I wanted to avoid dessert but ended up eating a few pieces of fruit. A wedge of peach, two cherries and two pieces of some other fruit I forget the name of.

Had water. About half a glass worth.

Just curious, what was your weight at the beginning of this journey?

That was a lot of calories at one sitting. How did you feel afterwards?

Over 300. My short term goal is to get below 300 as soon as possible. Next you'll be asking me my height. I ain't short. I'm in the OT often and I've learned giving details about yourself is stupid.

Not really. Lots of vegetables. And I felt hungry afterwards. I was totally empty going in. I fasted 66 hours before I ate.

Monday the 8th of March. One week completed.

I'm 12 lbs. down.

Sunday was a fast day. But I ended up drinking a fish broth. I nibbled on a few things. Nothing to kick me out of ketosis. I wasn't even hungry. I was just bored sitting around the house.

It's nearing noon on Monday. Still not hungry.

My blood pressure is high, but my remedy for that involves drinking a concoction that I shouldn't drink on an empty stomach, so that will have to wait until next month.

As far as the plan for next month, I'm thinking of doing what I'm doing now on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but adding one meal a day to the rest of the week. It's just a thought for now.

Wednesday the 10th.

I'm 14.2 lbs. down.

The last three days went by pretty fast. I experienced hunger pangs only once. So that was an improvement.

Yesterday I walked a mile and also did some yard work. I felt tired and weak while doing the yard work. I had to keep talking breaks. After I finished I drank some salt water. An hour or two I felt better.

Time to eat breakfast. Two eggs, two pieces of bacon and a guacamole mini cup.

Breakfast update: I didn't enjoy breakfast like last week. Last week everything tasted great. This week I wanted to stop eating about half way through. Weird. But I still ate everything because I have more yard work to do and I don't want to feel weak like yesterday. We'll see how dinner goes.

Dinner update: I ate 1 can of Campbell's Old Fashioned vegetable beef soup. It had very little "beef" in it.

I just ate two eggs over easy with salsa. That soup pissed me off with such little beef in it.

Saturday the 13th.

I'm 17.4 lbs. down.

I walked 3 miles this week, but with the yard work I count it as equivalent to 5 miles.

I got leg cramps for the first time last night. It was due to the yard work and not drinking my electrolytes and taking magnesium tables. So I will be doing both this morning.

Other than that, no real complaints. Still feeling pretty good.

I will update on today's meal later.

Dinner Update: I ate at Golden Corral today. My first plate was a mixed salad greens with cheese, ham, black olives, tomatoes, beets with Thousand Island salad dressing. Also a spoon full of imitation crab salad. Second plate a steak, piece of pork sausage, broccoli with cheese sauce, grilled pepper and onions and mushrooms. Also a piece of fried chicken thigh that I didn't eat because it tasted off to me. I really didn't like the flavor of the steak and the chicken so I had a third plate with taco meat, iceberg lettuce, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and salsa. No dessert. Water.

About an hour later I got the squirts at Academy Sports. I guess looking at guns relaxes my corn hole. I didn't make it to the restroom before the squirts hit. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Didn't make it thru my underwear. (I brought an extra pair of underwear for such an occasion.)

My apologies to the dude at the Hammond Academy Sports who pissed longer than I ever heard a human piss. I know the smell was horrible. I heard you sighing and breathing erratically. I really don't know if it was from the stench in the air or from relief after pissing a gallon of urine. You had to set some sort of Guinness Book of record for longest piss.

Speaking of pissing. I must have pissed 6 times out of my arse today. Very little came out the front. I think my a-hole is jealous from all the attention my bladder is getting lately with my fast. Payback was a bitch.

My appetite has shrunk. Thinking about foods I liked two weeks ago turns me off today. (Even Popeye's Chicken sandwich.) It's weird. It's like I've been hypnotized to find food disgusting, like someone who is trying to quit smoking cigarettes. This could be a blessing or a curse.

Only if you're an a-hole or care what internet people say, really. I know a lot of OTers and a lot of OTers know a lot about me.

Monday the 15th.

Week 2 of 4 completed. Halfway point.

I'm 15.8 lbs. down.

I screwed up yesterday (Sunday). I would definitely be closer to 17 lbs if not for eating too many pieces of turkey lunch meat and baby swiss cheese. And Dukes mayo and a can of tuna fish. I was craving fat bigtime.

So Sundays have proven to be most difficult. I sit around with family, get bored and start nibbling on stuff. It might be best to plan a light, satisfying meal. I'd be better off if I do that.

On the bright side, I can see in the mirror that I've lost some weight. Also my skin looks better. My face cleared up too. I get a type of psoriasis on my scalp that flares up from time to time. That has pretty much cleared up and disappeared.

Although I felt like quitting yesterday, I know that would be stupid. I'm seeing good results and I will continue with this fast. Not sure if I will hit my goal in 30 days. We'll see what happens.

Wednesday the 17th.

I'm 21 lbs. down.

I did a couple hours of yard work yesterday, shoveling dirt in the garden. It was my first good sweat in months. While in the shower I noticed a strong ammonia smell coming off me. I just looked it up and apparently it's from being in ketosis.

"When the body is in ketosis, it produces chemicals called ketones that exit the body via your breath and sweat. One of these ketones is acetone, which is often perceived as sweet or fruity, but can also carry a vinegar-like smell."

I've been using ketone strips to see how deep in ketosis I am. I'm usually in moderate to large ketosis.

This means I'm burning fat like a mofo!

For Breakfast I will eat two eggs, sausage patty and a guacamole mini cup.

For Dinner I plan to make my own Vegetable and Beef Soup. I wasn't happy with the canned soup. The "meat" was...questionable.

So you have a smart scale that tracks body fat? I know they aren't incredibly accurate, but I think they are at least consistent ad long as how you are weighing yourself is consistent. Would be interested to see the trend.

I have the Wyze scale. It's all of $20 and has been absolutely fantastic with helping me track my journey.

No. Sounds interesting. I'll take a look at it. Thank you.
