maybe but usp only requires 80%

and science direct did hplc testing on 36 samples, 15 out of 36 were below usp standard

LINK

quote:

Totally thirty-six creatine sports supplement samples were selected to evaluate their purity. The products ingredients were labeled as creatine monohydrate. Accurate amount of each sample was dissolved in water and the obtained peak area put in calibration curve equation to find the concentration. There was no detectable peak was found other than creatine in none of the cases. The purity results of OTC samples were provided in Fig. 2. Table 5 presents comparative results of distribution of creatine in samples. The results show that around fifteen out of 36 samples (41.67%) have the purity below the 80% (acceptable range for purity was 80-120% according to USP).

even as far back as 2000 consumer reports was running hplc testing on it

quote:

Among the 13 creatine products independently tested by ConsumerLab.com, eleven, or 85%, were found to meet ConsumerLab.com's standards for creatine content and purity as well as related claims appearing on their labels.

What time do people find is best for taking creatine? Pre, during, or post workout.

It doesn’t matter. Whatever time is best for you to remember to take it daily. It does it’s work through muscle saturation and any “instant” effects from a dosage are likely psychosomatic from what I understand.

I guess it says it on the front but the label is different than most. Usually on the back label it says creapure.

You are correct. But oh well, I'll use this and next time.... pay more attention to the label and not just the packaging.

From Creapure's website...think that probably means it's legit.

Listened to John Welbourn on Rippetoe’s podcast this week and Welbourn said he’s been taking Creatine daily since he was 14 years old. 34 years.

john feeds it to his dogs

he is of same belief as me...if it has a vertebrae and muscles...it should be taking creatine.

my 7 year old takes it. its very good for the developing brain and very good for older individuals especially older women who do not get enough protein, by very good i mean for mental health and for preventing muscle loss.

now my wife and mother in law who lives with us, will not take it. they do not like that it makes them gain weight. doesnt matter if they look better...the scale is what matters to them

I bought the ConCret for my wife and mom. No bloating, no stomach problems, easy to drink. Expensive, but it’s worth it to me if it has the same benefits with no gastric side effects.
