Not sure how often you compete in triathlons, but I love my Garmin Forerunner 945. It allows you to record a host of various activity types and even has a triathlon mode where you record your swim, T1, bike, T2, and run all in one fell swoop.

I'm waiting for the Garmin Forerunner 955 to come out, hopefully in May. But the Forerunner 945 is an excellent watch too.

If you are okay spending money, get the newest Garmin that is specifically made for triathlon.
My last race was in 2018 and I still have the 920xt. Use it if I ever go for a run. Definitely useful in a race, but it's an invaluable training tool. Swimming, biking, and running all captured in one device.
I started buying a used 310xt for like $50. Would have been more than enough for me, but got myself the 920xt as a christmas gift one year since I was doing an Ironman. Don't be afraid to look on the used market. Slowtwitch . com has a classified board and it's mostly good people in the triathlon community offloading old (to them) equipment.

I can second the Garmin 945 rec. I only swim and run now (frick cycling) but it works really well for those 2 things

Ive got the garmin vivoactive 3 and it will calculate your distance and timing on runs, bike, and will keep track of laps while swimming giving splits as well. Id look into that especially if you don't like apple watch. measures and records HR also plus V02.

Can’t go wrong with this:

Love my Fenix 5. Now, they are on 7. I think the newer ones track pool swims better, but I am not a Kona qualifier.

I can’t recall when I got my first tri watch but I’m guessing around 2004. Garmin has always been my goto and I don’t plan on changing anytime soon. Garmin fenix 6 for me.
