Blue cross won’t cover mounjaro. It’s 800 bucks a month. So he got a script for tirzepatide, generic mounjaro. But you can only get that from a compounding pharmacy, and it’s illegal for compounding pharms to make it in LA.

The patients with the weight loss spas in Baton Rouge have access to out of state compounding pharms. Those patients pay around 2-300 a month to the medical spas (rejuvime, Aspen clinic etc) and probably a little for the script, and go to monthly appts. The spa sends the script off to an out of state compounding pharmacy for their patients.

So if you live in LA, the only way to get a script to an out of state compounding pharmacy is to be a patient with a weight loss medical spa? Or are there any compounding pharmacies in the area (New Orleans, Lafayette, Baton Rouge) who will send the scripts off for individual patients?

He’s already a patient with a doctor. Already have the script. Just don’t want to start the whole process of going to rejuvime etc if he doesn’t have to. (Plus this doctor doesn’t charge the 200-300 a month fees.)

you have 2 choices.....

1) get from a medical spa

2) get from grey market like xcepeptides or Qingdao sigma chemical company or peptides sciences. recommend xce or qsc

i just gave you 3 places to get it. it isnt a controlled substance

look at xce peptides, its 3rd party tested, same with qsc

why not both? considering mounjaro is anti-catbolic and what is the difference between any other PED that helps, legal or not? its just a tool to help you hit your macros

there are guys that use juice and dont even lift. same as people that use mounjaro and dont even exercise. but mounjaro and all GLP1 can be a great tool to use if you get everything else dialed in.

aint for me, but not gonna hate or discourage others from using it.

Even after a Prior authorization they still won’t cover it?

Is he actually diabetic? Or you using it for weight loss?

You can use the coupon and get the cost down to $500 which yes still is crazy high but I just saved you $300 for that .

At least you know it’s the real deal when some of these compounding places … who knows how strict and properly they’re following compounding guidelines

He and our daughter both have a rare genetic mutation that Saint Jude research hospital found when they took a slice of her brain tumor, but they don’t think it had anything to do with her tumor. Only 400 in the world have been diagnosed with this mutation. We are assuming many more have it, however. It causes a bunch of things. Getting off track. But I’m convinced their struggle with weight is due to their genetic mutation. She also has PCOS, and studies have come out showing the fathers and brothers of women with PCOS have metabolic disorders.

I’m 115lbs and eat more than him and I barely move. He snores at night swallowing his tongue, and it sounds like he’s literally going to choke to death. I know him, though. He won’t wear a CPAP. He needs something to help with weight loss. 30 lbs. He has hard fat around his belly, and it needs to go. Nothing has worked. (Keto, Atkins, the fasting thing) This probably won’t either. But it’s worth a shot.
(He did a month of the 2.5 starting dose and only lost 5 lbs, but it was the month of December…)

He won’t ever stop having 1 bourbon and Coke a night plus 2 beers. I tell him that’s a problem. The calories in that add up. But he doesn’t listen. He’d rather starve than quit drinking.

My bad. I typed in tirzapeptide instead of tirzepatide so nothing came up.

Thx!

Gotcha.

Man that’s strange though that after all that paperwork and documentation BC still denied it.

Bunch of arseholes.

Sorry you’re having to try to circumnavigate the American health system . It’s really unfortunate how this works

if he isnt going to give up drinking then he must not love you and your daughter very much, because its going to put him in an early grave.

when he gets to a 10mg dose or higher he is gonna stop drinking though. he wont like it. and for the record your husband is an alcoholic, period.

so xce peptides is going to be your best bet that is easily accessible. they have tons and tons of 3rd party random testing done by one of the discord groups

He’s battling mental stuff beyond his weight.
The alcohol is a clear sign that nothing will work because “it’s always someone else’s fault.”
I got in shape when I got sober.

100% this. but the mounjaro helps some with that as it makes alcohol taste bad and makes your desires go down.

but as his wife, she should be ok with a lack of desire in the bed room too. maybe not completely but his desire will go down.

He's lucky to have someone who cares about him as much as you do. But at the end of the day his health is his responsibility and he has to take ownership of it. I want to be alive and functional when my kids grow up and start their own families. I want to be able To be active with my wife and do fun things once the kids are gone from the house... He has to come to a place where he wants that more then his nightly beers and bourbon.

if $550/mo is easier to swallow, go to your dr and get a zepbound rx. go to their website and use the coupon.
