How impressed is your wife/SO with your physical capabilities/fitness?

My wife gets it in her head sometimes that she's stronger than me, so I challenge her to wrestle just to put her in her place. When I pick her up and slam her, I can tell she's super impressed.

My wife has never complimented my fitness or expressed to me being impressed, even when I was in elite college athlete shape (not quite that anymore). And to be honest, it sucks. I'm still motivated to keep myself in shape, but I'm sure it would feel great to get the compliment from her.

You should definitely express to your spouse how impressed you are with them if you know they train hard.

My girlfriend very regularly compliments my physical appearance. Almost as much as I do hers We cannot go to the pool or beach, or do anything in bathing suits without first having to get the poison out, and even after, its very difficult for us to keep our hands from roaming under the water. She's in incredible shape, and apparently I'm no slouch either. God forbid she sees me cutting the yard with my shirt off or running the boat with my shirt off and hat backwards....I might not make it to the shower after.

Its a wonderful feeling knowing the person you're in love with is as physically attracted to you as you are to them.

Im 49, two days ago. Been lifting pretty hard for the last two years. I find her intermittently grabbing my chest and shoulders and arms. She compliments me often enough to keep me wanting to continue trying to look good in my old age.

My wife is one of these that just accepts the normal body changes that occur when one gets older. She's 48 and I'm 53. I've lifted hard now for at least the last 25 years. I'm in what some would say excellent shape for my age. Some may say I'm in excellent shape for any age. I lift heavy consistently. I'm 6'1 about 180 lbs. and have very little body fat on me, have six pack, etc. I wear 31"/32" jeans, etc. I don't think she really cares that much about it. It may be one of those things where she would care if I wasn't in shape, but she never really says too much about it.

I sort of wish she cared about her own appearance more. Don't get me wrong, she's had three kids and she stays in relatively good shape, but she could work out a little harder to drive better results. If I had my druthers, I'd prefer that she work on herself and making herself look better than to spend any time complimenting me on my appearance. Her improving her appearance would definitely drive me to improving (continuing to improve) my own.

Yep she over there living her best life just watching you lift weights in the living room
