Home gym recommendations

I looked back a few months worth of threads and did not see this topic discussed recently. I sold my crappy bench and old weight set this weekend and I want to replace it with a nice squat rack/cage and bumper plates. Any suggestions on good quality manufactures or vendors I should be looking into?

EliteFTS makes quality stuff.
Rogue and Eleiko also have great products. I’m sure there are less expensive companies, but I haven’t used their stuff, so I don’t know. I do believe Titan makes solid racks that are less expensive, but I didn’t like their other products. You would have to check. I know that some gyms had to close and sell their equipment. If you know of one, you might be able to get a good deal. My gym just picked up a monolift for a really good deal from someone who closed shop.

Really depends on what your doing. Powerlifting - might want to splurge on a better rack. Weightlifting - might want to splurge on a nice bar. I have a variety of Rogue, Titan, Get Rx'ed, Kabuki, and Rep Fitness and I love all of my equipment.
I have a foldable wall half rack from Titan that has been great for me. I don't lift very heavy weights and I leave it in the open position (never fold it up). I put some safety spotter arms on it and it does everything I need for a cheap price.
My bumpers are all Rogue except for 2-15s that I bought from Titan. The diameters are a little different (Titan vs Rogue), so I would just suggest to get a set of the same brand/model.
As far as benches go - hard to beat Rep Fitness at that price point. I have the FB5000 with wide pad and it's solid as a rock.
I do have the Titan SSB v2, heavy foam plyo box, Trap bar v2, and mini farmers walk handles. I'm impressed with all of those items. I've heard that some of the other Titan items are crap QC though. I bought a strongman sandbag from them and it popped open after a few workouts. Bought a Rogue sandbag and never looked back - great quality.

We have some Cerberus sandbags that are really well made. Used some in a comp this past weekend. I’ve never used Rogue’s sandbags. I do like their bars. The Ohio bars, the Castro bars and their Boneyard bars are solid.

As far as racks go
Top if the line:
Sorinex
Elitefts/Williams strength
Rogue
Mid tier
Rep
Getrxd
Prx
Lower tier
Titan
I didn't include racks like legend, powerlift or some of the very custom racks
In general you want to stay 3x3 and either 1" he's or 5/8" holes so that you have the most attachments to play with.
For bench get the new rogue ab3
For ates if you wanna do bumper, rogue echo or pretty much any brand will work. Look into steel also, much cheaper.
Lay down 3/4" horse stall mats for flooring
For other things, get bands, elitefts or rogue, and some wodfitter handles
Get a set of gymnastic rings
Get a Weighted vest adjustable up to 80lbs
Get jump rope
Get sandbags.....
Profit

I've heard the Cerberus bags are good too. I think when I ordered the Rogue those were on back order. I can vouch for Rogue though - they are good material and the top ain't popping open once it's closed.

I have a Titan rack and bench, and a Rogue barbell and bumper plates. Works great for me.

I got my rogue fitness setup 4 months ago. Love the decision I made.

I got an XEquipment rack and bumper set a few years back and it is still very solid. Rouge has better bars than them though.

Me basically...Titan rack, Rouge plates and ohio power bar, the $30 amazon flat bench, $20 set of wood rings.
There is a link out there that I thought I had of a list of most everything out there that fits with other brands.

In Canada, Bells of Steel seems like a pretty good inexpensive option. I have their FID bench and am thinking about picking up a rack from them too.

If you have Jeff Bezos money then get the Watson Pro Dumbells.

I bought a rack and bench from them. The rack is fine but the bench wobbles. It's usable but for what I paid it should be rock solid.

You should be looking at Facebook marketplace daily, I see rogue racks a couple times a week. Not to mention several good deals on plates and benches.

I am not active on FB, but I remember to check once a week or so. I ended up buying rogue bumper plates and their Ohio bar. I still need a bench and squat rack at minimum. Would you be willing to let me know if you see a rogue or any other decent rack for sale? I’ll send you my email or cell number if that makes it easier.
