Help with macros

Hello all,
I am looking for a good app that will help me calculate and track my macros. Or if anyone has any advice on how to calculate my macros I'm open to suggestions.
My background.... I have run 15 half marathons and 2 full marathons. I have been pretty fit and lean/toned the past few years. Unfortunately I had 2 surgeries on my right hip last year and now look like a giant road stool. I was unable to do much of any physical activity for about 9 months. As such I lost pretty much all of my muscle and gained 10 pounds.
I need to get back into shape but my downfall is nutrition. I can work out all day long but my eating habits suck. I need to know what my macros are for weight loss. I have done this before but I always end up going over on one of them. For example I'll get my recommended carbs and protein but my fat is way over the limit. Or my calories will be way over.
Any advice??

It is the worst.
I still use MFP + the Chrome extension that 'hacks' MFP by using their APIs to let you use their premium features for free. MFP doesn't protect their code
OP, Avatar is the best $10/mo you can spend.

what does the premium offer?

Set custom macros by the gram, set up your macros for the entire week by gram (so you can set high/low days).. primarily. That's what I use the chrome extension for.
Look for foodfastfit

I had just been using the macros assigned to me by avatar and strictly using MFP to track

The hack allows you to manually enter the macros Avatar gives you into MFP, like you could from MFP premium. Otherwise, MFP requires you to set your macros by % of calories.

It doesn't get it perfect though.

I use MyNetDiary. It allows you to set your own macros as you see fit. If you give your current bodyweight, height, and exercise schedule, i.e. how many days, how hard; then I can give you some ball park numbers.

So I just signed up for Avatar. I am doing my first day. It seems so daunting trying hit those three numbers. I had always heard that flexible dieting was easier than counting callers but I'm having to hit three numbers instead of just one. Does it get any easier?

once you get used to eating the way you should, yea it gets easier. Also realize you can sub fat for cabrs so long as you meet your min fiber intake.

To start I have orieitized it this way:
1. Don't go over on carbs.
2. Try to get close to the protein minimum.
I don't worry too much about where fats come in. I should probably watch my fiber closer though.
Good strategy?

fine for now, but realize protein is the most important macro. but just try and get as close to the 10% range daily as possible and have a scoop or peanut butter or pop tart or protein shake at the end of the say to get to those numbers.
