I DMed PPSA on IG about that. He said:

“128 Reps of Rowing.
Big Back = Big Bench”

I want a big back and a big bench, so I’m going for it tomorrow.

W3D5 was pretty badass. 8x8x70% felt a lot lighter than the 7 reps at 70% yesterday. I barely got through all 8 16rep sets of rows at 135 with good form and slow control up and down throughout. I’m still adjusting back to bb rows after my lower back injury so that’s a good lift for me. I had to take the full 2 min rest the last couple sets though. Heavy skullcrushers followed by high rep pushdowns feel completely awesome to the triceps.

I am definitely stronger than when this month started. I need a couple days rest tho for the elbows and shoulders to heal up before week 4. Kinda hoping he doesn’t post some gnarly Thicksmas Eve workout I feel compelled to do tomorrow instead of relaxing

That is fricking awesome, I might have to try and reach out to him on IG.

W3D3 for me today, those 3 sets of 4 reps at 275 were no joke and I hate/love the soul suckers.

I’m curious to see how much people add to their bench.

W4D1 down here. I added 10lbs to my Yates rows and felt strong but then hit a wall in that triple superset. Think I needed some food.

Couldn’t get W4D1 done today. Either skipping or pushing the whole week back a day to finish on Saturday, haven’t decided.

This program seems to have caused shoulder issues

I mean on the one hand we bench pressed a lot every day (plus a decent amount of OHP and lat raises). On the other hand, my son and I haven’t found it to be an issue at all, and he has historically had some shoulder issues from pressing too much due to an old football injury.

My shoulders look like boulders! At least compared to what they started as. No pain at all. I was just busy today.

maybe but for me personally it was from pushing since july hard on bench and overall shoulders in general. nothing particular on any 1 program did it for me.

Same here (finished w4d2). Actually did 5 reps on the squats at 65/70 to kinda warm up a bit before the 80 and 85%. I took an advil cold and sinus before lifting because I had a runny nose and was sneezing and I think it got me super jacked up compared to the cup of coffee I normally use as a preworkout haha
