Any suggestions from the AP baws? The location of the Gold's Gym is pretty hard to beat but I'm okay with driving a little ways if there is a better gym nearby

Anytime Fitness in Dutchtown is the nicest AF I’ve ever been too and I’ve been to a ton. It’s huge and has lots of equipment.

I go to that Golds when I’m in the area for work…it’s is fine for the price. Has most of what you would need to lift. Lockerooms smell pretty often. AC struggles to keep up when it’s hot. Hoe to bro ratio is also about 1:20 mid day. Price justifies all of that though

Unless you are going to Curves; how many gyms have you been in that the girls outnumber the guys?

Yeah, I bounce between there and Gold's when I am over there for work. The only downside to Anytime is traffic can be a nightmare at certain times so it is best to train there either early or late.

Few, however the ratio is much usually better than Golds, if that is something that you value.

One of the good things about increased females at the gym is that they all do the same exercises to work their buts. Almost nothing else. They are the anti-skipped leg day. That is all they do. However, that means they take up all the racks to do those. So its is a trade off.

I'm newish to the area and started going to Gold's. It's a couple minutes from my house. Has everything you need. For me, the difference maker between them and anytime/snap, on top of being cheaper & having double the equipment, is the sauna. Sauna is a life saver when I don't sweat enough during my workout or cardio. I don't use their showers much but there are about 5 and they are all clean.

Towels and spray stations are all over to wipe down equipment and keep it clean. The staff cleans every morning with cleaning vinegar, so that might be the smell the other poster is referencing. Men's room always smells like pickles at 4am.

Early morning crowd isn't bad - mostly plant workers that finish their workout & leave by 5:30. Can get packed mid-day but a lot of ppl there are in spin classes and stuff, not necessarily using the gym part. Afternoon and weekends, the few times I've been, there's a lot of high school kids. I've never had trouble waiting to use equipment any time of day, but I prefer to go 4-5am when there's hardly anybody there.

It's basically a nicer, cleaner planet fitness.

This. Second the Anytime in Dutchtown. I’ve been to gyms around the country and nothing compares to the equipment… and scenery!
