at 7:00 tonight, from 7:00 Saturday night. Only water, a cup of coffee each morning, and a cup of hot tea each afternoon unsweetened.

Wasn't as bad as I thought, though a bit of a headache today some 65 hours into it. Pissing like a racehorse, I guess from all the water.

I did it to hopefully jump-start ketosis. So what is next step? just go right back into keto meals, or is there some transition step?

Bone broth and if you can handle it raw eggs. Ease back into it and hit the Keto macros hard.

What do you mean "ease back into it". Do I need to only have beef broth with butter for an entire day or can I have bacon and eggs for dinner? How long before I can have a full keto meal of say a casserole?

To clarify, I'm 24 hours into my fast, so I would like to prepare if I make it to Thursday....I mean when I make it to Thursday.

FWIW, Tim Ferris says that he does't see a need for any special dietary restrictions when you end a 3 day fast. Doesn't think it's long enough for it to matter what you eat when you break the fast

I’d stick to keto and probably go to one meal a day. That way you keep your losses and stay in ketosis until the next fast. It’s an easy way to lose weight. Just keep at it.

this is true.

as far as Tim Ferris goes.....well you can follow his advice but you will have the shits like crazy. Atleast i do and everyone i know who has tried that way. Its much better to have something like bone broth to line the stomach in my opinion. OWS i believe fast liek this and has had the same expierence. try for your self though.

So made a little egg salad last night at 74 hours, ate about 3 eggs worth plus a couple slices of summer sausage. Shitting like a goose this morning. No breakfast.

Lunch will be a little more substantive. Hope I make it back across the Causeway before it (s)hits if it does.

I did a 48 hour this weekend...only water. I had a torn up stomach about hour 46 before mine ended. Broke it with Greek yogurt, protein bar. Spaced out food intake, kept it keto friendly. It is completely mental regarding pushing thru.

Things tightened up. Had a ground chuck and bacon burger (only) for lunch, avocado and some summer sausage for dinner. No more squirts.

Lesson learned. I'll ease back into the food, even eggs, after the next 72 hour fast.
