Roza stepped away the last few months for mental health reasons.

Castro always came off as a douche nozzle. He chased away the best SMEs Crossfit ever had: Mark Rippetoe, Robb Wolf, and others.

Dude probably couldn’t stand the fact that Castro wasn’t a yes man and actually had motives other than the bottom line. All the new ownership/leaders care about is turning CrossFit into another corporation they can use to milk affiliates and members for money.
Love him or hate him Dave deserved better than this. And the way this was put out tells you all you need to know about Roza. Will be interesting to see how they spin this move.

I think Dave was the guy behind the CrossFit Games from the beginning.
And no, I doubt they have access to Castro's family property moving forward.
Castro recently posted a picture on his IG feed with him visiting and having drinks with Glassman. I doubt that went over well at current CFHQ.

Castro is a douche bag with bird legs, I understand he had a significant, and probably central role in making the games what it is today, and I can respect that, but In the back of my mind, He aggravated the crap out of me for some reason.

this is a dumb reason not to like him. 99% of the general population can’t RX games workouts and most people that do CrossFit can’t finish games workouts to the intended stimulus. Yeah I can do “the standard” but I’m getting time capped. ETA: also all the idiots hating on him have no idea what they want to replace him. 100% they will end up hating the guy who replaces him more for shitty programs.

I have no love for Castro as he’s always seemed like a douche but I can’t help but think that this is related to woke reasons.
