I've been hitting around 2,000 calories a day. I drink two 42g procore shakes a day and someone recently told me that I need to eliminate dairy from my diet. When I google it, it seems like a disputed topic with no clear cut answers. Does anyone have any experience with completely eliminating dairy from their diet?

I eat very little dairy. If I eat a little bit, like cheese on a burger, it's fine. If I eat ice cream or pizza or something with a bunch of dairy, I feel like absolute shite for like 12 hours.

Every is going to be different in their response to dairy, I used to get really sick after downing a protein shake mixed with milk and had to switch to using water but I will eat string cheese with no issues.

Personally, I think most dairy is straight up garbage. I avoid it like the plague, with the exception of a no sugar added yogurt. I might eat a few slices of pizza once a month at most.

Tonight, I had a burger with a fried egg.

And Mingo was dead on. If you do without is for a while and then eat it, you feel nasty.

But...these are just my opinions. I also eat dry salad and plain baked potatoes with nothing but salt. I'm most likely the weird one.

If drinking the occasional glass of 2% milk is wrong then I don’t want to be right

I quit dairy some years ago after reading about modern dairy farming.Cows are artificially inseminated as soon as possible after calving.Milk produced by pregnant cows has high levels of hormones which possibly increases the risks of breast, uterine and prostate cancer.
Also cows in modern dairy farming are milked 3 times a day which leads to increases in mastitis which requires antibiotics to control. The modern dairy is inherently unsanitary.Cows never see a pasture, they are confined to barns and food is brought to them on conveyor belts.
Milk is mixed in large tanks so invariably milk from cows with mastitis containing pus is mixed in with milk from non infected cows.
That may not be particularly harmful but it was enough to kill my desire for dairy.

I consume dairy in numbers that would make a calf blush. My two kids and I go through 4-5 gallons of milk a week. I mix my protein with low fat milk. I drink whole milk with my dinner. I eat cheese as a snack. Ice cream as an occasional treat. Yogurt and granola for breakfast occasionally.

I feel great. The kids are healthy as can be. The stuff is loaded with protein and other goodness. Drink up!

If I could get my hands on raw dairy here I would smash it but the best I can do is cream line dairy.

I fully support dairy in the diet but I stick to the least processed stuff possible. If it’s low fat or non fat (yogurts especially) then I’m out. I Really like the Icelandic yogurt Skyrr brand too.

“Tell me you’ve been near a dairy farm”

Actually there was a dairy about a block from where I grew up.Cows were milked about 4:00 AM and then turned out in the pasture.About 3:00 pm the cows headed back to the barn for 4:00:pm milking.Barn was cleaned out everyday between milkings.

The barn was very clean,no odor to speak of.

Not like today where cows never leave the barn.
