Holy crap. Ran a mile before.

Did it with thrusters and killed me. I’m shocked how long it took.

But so happy I did it at home once the kids went to sleep.

Hitting the box tomorrow!

Almost every workout I do has me thinking after, “man, that was harder than I thought it was going to be.”

5 rounds 3 minutes each

20 dbell snatch 40#
Run 200m

Rest remainder of 3:00, score is slowest round

My slowest round was about 2:10, I should have went with a 50# dbell.

CB what’s the obsession with 40# db on SP.

I have a set of rubber 35’s so that’s what I use. Power blocks don’t work well for crossfit workouts.

I dont know. RX is always 40's and RX+ is 50's. I use 50's when I can but they are too heavy for devil presses and step ups IMHO, unless its competition.

Im a short fella so step up are hard enough for me at 24", adding 100lbs sucks.

I should have used 50's today though. I have a set of 40's and a set of 50's in the garage.

ETA: Home Depot actually has good prices on dumbbells. I wasnt even aware you could buy them there until a buddy told me. A 40# can be had for $35 and some change.

I hate Wednesdays:

A.)10 Min EMOM
3 Deadlifts AHAP (all sets must be done at the same weight! Make it challenging!)

B.)3 Rounds for Time
15 SDHP (75/55)
10 Pull Ups
500 Meter Run

C.)3 Rounds AFAP
20 GHD Sit Ups
20 GHD Hip Extensions

That used to be me.

CB I used 35# DB. Slowest round was 1:16. I may have to remeasure my 200m mark. I used my Garmin watch to measure.

Damn son, you were flying.

It took me about 1:00 for the snatches and 1:00 for the run. I sit the dumbbell on the ground each time and switch hands, so that slows my time down some.

I like the looks of tomorrow’s wod.

Yesterday:

Four rounds 8:00 cap each
1000m row or ski
8 DB Thrusters (50/35)
12 HSPU or seated DB strict press
16 Front rack lunges (all with same DBs)

Something about coming off that ski straight into thrusters was murder. Gym looked like a bomb had gone off at the end. Bodies everywhere.

We have not have our skis long. Do the meters compare at all?

I did heavy deadlifts yesterday so I doubt I’ll do the SP workout.

Tomorrow gym has:
Every 10:00 for 30:00
1k row
40 sit-ups
30 cal bike
Rest with remaining time. Start round 2 at 10m mark.

Strength:
5x5 DL to bent over rows transition

WOD:
5 rounds
50 meter farmer carry
20 Russian twists
200 meter run

Once again, it killed me. I’m slowly getting back to these workouts after having a baby and it suckkkss. I used to be a coach with abs. Now I’m the last one finishing wods.

I hate that I have to start all over and lose this weight but I did it once and can do it again.

I enjoy coming in here and getting motivation from you all. Keep it coming.
