In this last month of comps and qualifiers, my overall weakness is cardio so I’ll be working on intervals over the next two months, especially if I’m competing in Miami again.

Last 5 weeks:
Wodapalooza Indy Qualifier
Clearwater Beach Brawl
Wodapalooza Team Qualifier

On top of class WODs and lifting days in there, too.

3 wall walks

I did 2 rounds of wall walks and then switched to 15 push-ups. I can do the wall walks no problem, I just don’t like them.

I was going to take today off, but it was a short intervals today and like I said previously, I need to up my cardio.

5 rounds
:30 max effort row
8 devil presses 50/35
3 min break between rounds

19:16 Rx

First couple of rounds I was ~1:30, but I picked up and was closer to 1:20 on the last few rounds.

Row per round was 140-150 meters in the 30 secs.

30 burpee to plate
30 pull-ups
30 box jump over

Complete those 90 reps and with remaining time perform as many burpee box jump overs as possible. Took me 6:30 to complete 90 and then got 25 burpee box jum overs

I really wish we treated pull ups differently. I watched guys flying through yesterday's wod doing butterfly. It would have taken me double the time for 4 rounds if I cranked out doubles of my terrible kipping pull ups, so I just did jump ups. I hate being the only person not done for over 3 minutes or more.

I can go about 15-20 strict pull-ups right now unbroken.

My butterfly form sucks so I need to work on that.

I figure I could probably do somewhere around 10 strict with good form before failure.

Butterfly, if I just had to do one max set, I could probably go for somewhere between 30-40.

Strength

Front squats hitting those percentages. Got up to a 225 triple

Conditioning

First workout - For time 10 working down to 1. 225lb deadlifts and toes to bar finished in 13:12

Second workout - EMOM 10 rounds one hang power snatch at 95lbs and 5 dead hang pull ups

A: Bunch of shoulder work

B: FT... 50 Push Press 185/125


I kept the weight light (135) to make cardio my limiting factor. 20 reps unbroken out of the gate and finished in 4:53.. Went 20-10-7-5-8 but wanted to go 20-10-10-10.. hit the wall at 37 reps.

Only one guy Rx’d the workout and finished in 8:20 or so.

Got a lunch time session in the garage before the WVU game

Strength - arse to grass back squats, hitting those percentages again. Hit the 255lb triple.

Conditioning - 30 min AMRAP
5 back squats at 135lbs
run 200 meters
10 dead hang pull ups
10 sit ups
10 push ups

i was fricking smoked by the end.
