Workout of the Day

A.) Every 2 Minutes x 5
-1 Power Snatch (Build)

B.) 10 Minute AMRAP
-10 Power Snatch (45% of today’s lift)
-10 Wall Balls (20/14)

I hit 115 power snatch then did the WOD at 65.. mistake. should've done 55. Did wall balls at 14lb.

I dont even know how I would scale for A.

B. Not a real problem, except for being too tired around the end.

We all rowed. I did step ups due to my lingering left calf issue. That allowed me to not be DFL for once. But my thighs. Youch.

We never do one rep max, but I really want to try one soon on squat. The calculator says 350. I think I maxed 365 in 1985. Would love to get a PR before my age really starts making that a problem.

Yeah, I did like 405 for 1 about 2 years ago...not sure I could do it again right now. If I slow down out of the bottom at all I just quit nowadays. That and I dont like to feel like I am forward at all.

Those calculators are really close though. I remember I thought I could deadlift 500 because I got like 430 really easy for 3....I wasnt even close. The 1 RM estimate was like 460 and I think I shite the bed right there or a little under.

I made it through 3 minutes at RX but on round 4 when I flopped down on burpee 5 I popped my wrist. Didn't hurt too bad, but I scaled it back to 5 burpees the rest of the way. It was still horrific.

Today: 1 mile farmer's carry. Every 400m 25 RKBs.

Have to be honest, guys. I'm getting burnt out on CF. Constant nagging minor injuries and intense WODs .. I find myself dreading going unless it's a lift heavy day. Any of y'all run into this and have advice? It's been slowly creeping in and I've been ignoring it, but I'm finding motivation harder to come by.

Yeah, sounds like the programming needs an over haul. I think if CF'ers are honest many boxes have had this happen. I got my Level 1 and 2 so i could help program. But my box owner lets me run my own individual program just for me and as couple others. Its still CF but I have changed some things that has me feeling pretty good. Unfortunately if u push yourself physically, you are will get nagging aches and pains.

You could look at others boxes or try something new. Read the Greyskull LP thread. It has a strength program as well as conditioning workouts.

Just a thought. Good luck
