In theory it sounds good, but in reality I will likely just go for runs in the mornings and may purchase a day pass at a local membership to do weights 1 or 2 days I'm there.

When it really gets down to it, I joined Crossfit because I proved over the years that I will not work out on my own. So, there's that.

Sorry, my statement was confusing.
No walking BUT the fat boy shuffle is allowed.

I think that's one of the biggest components of Crossfit.

Shiiiiat there's no way I could run that 10k without walking. Can I scale to a 5k? Even that would be brutal for me right now.

Some of us are built for standing in one spot and lifting heavy things, some are built for running 6.2 miles.

I'll admit

those 2 1 miles runs yesterday hurt me more than I thought they would

I think both of them were in the 8:30 range, which is super slow for me normally...or at least it was a few years ago

It sounds goofy, but I dont mind a WOD with alot of running, I just know it will take me a long time.

I fall to pieces when they have like 5 400s in em with something like wall balls, box jumps or similar. It is tough for me to tax my big movers and trying to run.

see I'm the complete opposite

Kelly is one of my favorite WODs

5 rounds:
400 m run
30 box jumps
30 WBs

We have a WOD we call JP, it is

1 mile
30 bs at 135
30 burpees
1 mile

I dont mind that running. I just settle into a pace and have no problem.

Kelly is an awesome crossfit workout though. A huge amount of work.

I refuse to run more than 1 mile, and I only do that once per year.
